Good food at reasonable pricing. Could have a bigger portions that day with the food that we had.. The area was conducive and well ventilated.

Can't remember how many times I have dined at this restaurant. Everytime when I feel like eating crab porridge, we will definitely go to this restaurant.

The food was sustantial and the waiting time was not very long considering that it was peak hour on a weekebd. The food was delicious and the ambience was great

This restaurant has promo menu during mon-fri which includes shark fin and abalone for around $30 per pax. Very worth it. Free corkage makes it sweeter

The steam pomfret teochew style was great, thoroughly satisfying. The tofu with 'chai po' was also satisfying with the 'chai po' over the tofu being crispy unlike those found over 'chwee kueh'. Overall food standard is very good with attentive service which can be a tad too enthusiastic when other empty dishes are piled on top of each other and cleared whilst still consuming the last dish. Otherwise a pleasant experience.

Yummy food but do not have a inside table so did not have aircon, but paying the same price and it was quite hot, and perspiring

Had fish maw soup which was fantastic with a generous dash of black vinegar you put in yourself. The salted egg crab and black pepper crab is to die for. Fortunately we brought our own Italian Prosecco wine to complement the dish .. and the twain did not disappoint. Steamed grouper fish was another signature dish not to be missed. The fish was fresh and you can tell by its delicate structure because the steaming process was just right. Steam it a bit longer than ideal, the fish would be out of whack rendering the soft flesh rather hard and chewy. This is the real test whether the restaurant has a good chef. Like what my gourmet friends chirp, "The proof of a good chef is in his steamed fish!" I strongly recommend this restaurant for those who live to bring their vintages to match with the food in this restaurant. For one thing there are no corkage charges and no service charges. But hey don't be a Scrooge ... the service staff work real hard to dish out your soup or noodles for each individual and replace your dirty crockery . They bring you your wine glasses for your whites and reds.

The food is nice and the price is reasonable. The crab porridge is very delicious. We always go there when we crave for crab porridge. Is advisable to make reservation before going as the queue is always long.

Value for price! Economy price excellent food! Staffs are friendly! Very organized in terms of reservation. Staffs were very alert when they realized your tea is finishing and were very prompt in refilling them!

delicious local chinese cuisine. great for wedding dinner settings and also birthday celebrations. seafood is rather expensive but premium ingredients were served. I will visit again next time

Food is consistently good , if they can expand more towards indoor type of restaurant , will be even better. Though manpower was kept to the minimum , they still deliver , keep it up .

Indoor seating is a bit of a squeeze on a crowded Sunday evening because of the tables being placed close to each other. The al fresco dining area may be a better option on a cool night. Service was good. All food ordered were of a high quality. A very good overall experience.

Prompt service was provided by service staff. However the food took some time to arrive. My reservations was made online but the restaurant got my personal details wrong which created some confusion at first. Took a while to be assigned a table. Overall, the food was good so I would return.

In my opinion it is one of the best chinese restaurant in the east area. It offers a variety of excellent dishes. The service if good as well though not really pocket friendly.
