The story of Jack’s Place started when a young Mr. Say Lip Hai started as a cookboy with the British troops in Sembawang learning how to prepare the perfect roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, going on to open his own restaurant in 1967 and taking over the kitchen in a man named Jack Hunt’s pub after impressing his wife with the steak he had prepared. Jack’s Place has now grown into a chain of successful steakhouses, with restaurants all over Singapore. You’ll find a branch located inside the Great World City shopping mall on Kim Seng Promenade in River Valley, making it the perfect place to feed your hunger after a day spent shopping.
