Food was alright. Interior design concept is good. Went there when there was no live band..
Food was average but the space was pretty cool in an oriental way!
Food was ok, decor was nice and reminds me of hong kong
Great place for good food with a nice nostalgic retro atmosphere if you grew up listening to cantopop.
Bamboo clams and the scrambled egg charsiew rice are really really good. Other dishes like ee-fu noodles, HK wanton mee are just as delicious too. Overall a very good dining option in Outram.
Best place for my weekday lunch. The only place in lion city to serve authentic HK tea restaurant food.
Authentic Hong Kong style food. So sad to see it go!
Very authentic HK tea restaurant food! Nostalgic decor and background music
Food is good and loved the ambience. French toast and instant noodles are nice
The Salted Egg Lava French Toast with Ice Cream 流沙西多士+雪糕 is super yummy 😋👍🏻 the rich Salted Egg Lava would slowly ooze out as I cut it, with a burst of aroma…. Such an awesome experience 😃👍🏻
came to try the food after friends had visited... had the noodle soup with pork chop -- not bad but very salty!! hot dessert (peach gum thingy) was good too :) milk tea seems abit off compared to HK taste lol
The food was good, but pity that they are closing down soon!
We have a sumptuous dinner, the “Braised Pork Belly with Beancurd Pot”南乳汶三層肉煲 is tender and tasty, 吃得好满足😋👍🏻, such an enjoyment to have mouthful of well-cooked and flavourful pork belly.
got a seat on the second floor and was surprised to see a different layout. Nice experience
Good food, prompt service and good atmosphere. Ordered the hor fun.
great cosy environment, staff is friendly and the food is great. nostalgic hk cafe with great food.
Good food with a good atmosphere; there is an upstairs sitting. Pet-friendly out-door sitting; unfortunately, out-door sitting has no shelter.
Good experience, food was normal. Will go again in the future.
I love the ambience there it’s very authentic. Food was good and very value for $$
Many Hong Kong cuisine at “Friends Kitchen HK” are authentic and delicious. Especially their char siew & scrabbled egg rice is fantastic, I have ordered twice and will go back soon.
Food is good and service was great! Brought back childhood memories from all the oldskool canto tunes. Highly recommend!
Restaurant was not crowded on a weekday night. Service was prompt and food was pretty good.
It was a nice Saturday evening although the music from indoor and outdoor’s live can be quite clashing. The ambience is nice overall, like olden days feel. Food is alright and the fresh/live seafood is good. The staff are very concerned about their customers and was nice to everyone!
Food is average, expected of a typical HK Cha chaan teng cafe.
Food is not bad.. environment ok.. night time got live band
Staff were welcoming and made good recommendations. Should definitely try the char siew rice with egg, beef hor fun and fried pea shoots with garlic. Bolo buns are also homemade.
The food is ok, only the milk tea need to improve.
service and atmosphere was great. but the food was nothing to rave about, just tasted okay.
Great food. Thanks Quandoo for assisting with the reservations! The fried rice had wok hei and the salted egg chicken was on point!
I found out about Friends Kitchen HK through Tiktok, and the food there didn't let me down. It is also easily accessible and next to the Maxwell brown line (TEL) line. I love the Beef Kway Teow, Curry fish balls, and char siew eggs fried rice. Strengths: Excellent food, a setting that truly makes me feel like I'm in Hong Kong, kind employees, and first-rate service. Area of improvement: I'm not sure if the loo was intended to be old school Hong Kong style. However, I wish they could make improvements to the restrooms' overall layout and lighting. All in all, I had a fantastic experience with Friends Kitchen HK. :D
The food was great and the price is reasonable will visit again
Why serve our dessert when they are still serving our main dishes?? Isn't dessert to be served after we are done eating our main dishes?? Food was quite good except the fried bean sprouts was salty. The black sesame paste dessert tasted 'off'. Not something I will order again.
Ordered the must have noodles and baked rice but both were just normal. Food prices are reasonable but nothing fantastic
Fried beef hor fun lack of wok hey, but great portion of beef slices. Milk tea taste can be stronger. Would be better if the French toasts peanut butter could be smooth instead of crunchy. Overall, decent HK food.
Nice ambience and food was great. Got the feel of one being in HK.
First visit to give a try on HK dishes. Dining space at Level 1 was not very ideal. Table for 2 pax is small & hard to order more dishes to try out. Overall, food was quite salty except the Spinach soup.
Chicken wings were good. Clean space. Milk tea could be made stronger and more fragrant.
Great HK restaurant with great food, good ambience and decor.
The hosts were friendly and checked in on us to endure we had everything we need. The food was authentic and delicious. Will visit again to try other dishes.
The beef brisket was very soft and flavourful. definitely have to try.
Food taste not bad. Will go back and try other dishes
Overall good. However, the milk tea should be thicker, and the black sesame is a little bitter and not fragrant enough.
