You can’t get much more of a slap-up Chinese experience on Temple Street than that to be had at Feng Bo Zhuang. Right by the Chinatown MRT station and decked out with stylish bamboo furnishings and warm lighting, Feng Bo Zhuang is spacious but welcoming, and the range of outstanding dishes on offer is difficult to comprehend at first. If you’re not in the mood for being surprised and baffled, stick to some familiar comforts taken up a notch, like Feng Bo Zhuang’s twice-cooked pork buns, juicy roast duck or succulent cola chicken wings. If you’re looking for something more exotic, though, you’re in the right place, as this Singapore Chinatown star rolls out a host of enticing dishes, from goose to saliva fish, though we recommend going for their famous ‘tai chi sword’ seafood platter to get a little taste of a lot. Given its location and quality, Feng Bo Zhuang is almost always humming, so recommendations in advance are strongly advised.
