Located on the ground floor of the Chinese Cultural Centre, this Peranakan restaurant offers a unique dining experience. The space features a bar at one end, surrounded by tables, and shares restroom facilities with the Chinese Call Centre next door. The cocktails here are truly the highlight and quite innovative. The Sop Story, a sour soup-inspired cocktail, arrived in a basket with dry ice and sauce on the side. Once mixed together, it became more of an alcoholic dessert than a typical drink, as it included semi-solid gin. It was a surprising and intriguing experience. The second drink, Loquat Elixir, was a gin-infused longan cocktail served in a sake container—light, refreshing, and memorable. Finally, the Street Side Signature offered a creative twist on alcoholic cendol, which was both fun and delicious. As for the food, the quality was a bit hit-or-miss. The truffle duck Polish fell short—it was dry and could have benefited from a sauce to enhance its flavor. However, the laksa lobster Kueh Pie Tee was excellent, with crispy shells filled with rich lobster, though at $20 for four pieces, it felt a little steep. The signature kerabu crab noodles were enjoyable, and the beef cheek rendang was flavorful, with a rich sauce and tender (albeit slightly fatty) beef cheeks. The accompanying blue pea rice was a nice touch and complemented the dish well. The combination of two starters, noodles, a main, and two servings of rice left us so full that we skipped dessert. Service was attentive, with staff providing detailed explanations of the cocktails, which added to the overall experience. On a quiet Sunday night, the restaurant was almost empty apart from one other table, so the atmosphere was subdued. While the food was interesting, it’s the cocktails that truly stand out. We’d recommend visiting primarily for the innovative drinks, as they are the true stars of the menu.

Hidden little gem. Wouldn't go all the time as it's a little pricey and out of the way, but the food is good and it's a nice atmosphere.

I made reservation for 3 pax well ahead of time, almost 6 weeks before the concert date, however, when we arrived, the server pointed us to a table at a dark corner, when there were many better seats for 4 by the wall where it was brighter. He told us if we insist to take the table by the wall at the middle, we will have to finish our food in an hour's time. I cannot understand why even though we made reservation well ahead of time, priority for better table was not given. The food is overall ok, there were many same few sauces used for different dishes. we tried the Baba squid, were disappointed because the squid was not fresh and was rather tasteless.

The food was really quite bad. The pork ball in the soup disintegrated. Seafood was not fresh and of poor quality. Everything was either bland or overly sweetened.

Food is nice, waiters and waitress can be more attentive if possible. Would suggest if there can be picture in the menu would be more ideal since we not familiar with nyoya food. We ordered a “banana blossom x x x “ thinking is some dish with banana, never thought it made from banana flower. Overall good dining experience here

Had lunch at the restaurant. Ordered the set lunch and picked the buah keluak chicken fried rice for the mains, and sambal winged beans and satay chicken for the sides. The fried rice is a tad too salty and oily for my liking but the sides are delicious. Also had a flat white and it was good. Service is prompt and friendly
