Opus Bar and Grill (voco Orchard Singapore)

The dining experience offered a mix of highs and lows. The fish, though nicely seasoned, was dry, lacking the delicate moisture that gives the dish life. The lamb, on the other hand, was moist and flavorful, easily the standout of the meal. The pork was juicy, but its skin lacked crispness, missing that satisfying crunch expected from a well-executed roast. The chicken was average, competently cooked but unremarkable. However, the biggest setback was the speed of service. We were seated at 12:45 p.m., yet only received our main courses at 1:40 p.m., and that was after we sent a reminder. Meanwhile, other diners who arrived later were already enjoying their mains. The staff were friendly, and the manager personally came to apologise, explaining that our order slip had accidentally stuck to another, causing the delay. While the gesture was appreciated, the long wait inevitably dampened the dining mood, especially given the high expectations set at the start. That said, this one-time slowness should not deter us from returning for dinner, as the lamb alone was worth coming back for. Overall, a restaurant with promising flavours and warm service — but one that needs sharper attention to pacing and consistency to truly deliver the experience it promises.

Regular place for birthday celebration although the meat selection has been less attractive over the year. Something to look into !

My wife and I were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Opus surprised us by serving us a wedding anniversary chocolate cake. Terence and the other hosting staff were great with their services.

Was quite disappointed with the service tonight. 1. Our sharing meat platter took forever to come. We literally finished all the sides and had to order additional ones. 2. The ribeye on the meat platter was rare (pretty much blue). While my mom loves rare, we had to send some pieces back to the kitchen to be refried. The chef should have done a better job in checking the meats before sending it out. 3. Had to ask several times for the right plates etc (ok, I recognize the staff could be new and they were trying).

Opus Bar & Grill at the Voco Hotel is great for special occasions. As part of the IHG group, members get special rates too. Definitely recommend!

Good ambience. But the waiter did not pack my take away food properly. The whole piece of beef bone was thrown away! Quite sad about it till now. What a silly waiter.

Will rate the food as 8/10, Environment as 6/10 and service as 5.5/10.

A little quiet which made browsing the food selection enjoyable. The chefs were fantastic, had plenty of time to talk you through the superb selection of food. The service staff could not be more attentive. I would recommend to anyone. A less frantic experience than most brunches. We will be going back.

Waited for a good 5 min at the reception for the table to be ready, servers were really busy pacing at a quick tempo up and down but the lady who finally took our order was attentive and friendly. Tenderloin was cooked to perfection but the ribeye was rare in most parts and medium rare in the others; sauces were delicious Bread and butter was surprisingly tasty and enjoyable.

Fish & chips are quite good. Crispy outside and tender inside. Service was good

Firstly the food was amazing but unfortunately the service was terrible. From the time we entered we were told the the kitchen closed in an hour and we needed to be quick. After the entree the waitress took the cutlery off the plate and banged it on the table with residual food ending all over the table. The main meals followed very quickly , with the waitress standing over us demanding we cut the steaks to ensure they were to our liking. The waitress walked off to continuing clearing the restaurant , and after 5 minutes we had to chase up our sides. We never got offered coffee or tea or desert. I think if a restaurant advertises its hours of operation for a specific time it should equally ensure meals are available during those hours. Loved the food and ambiance, but sadly that was all overshadowed by a very rude and unprofessional waitress

Dining experience started off badly when they showed us to a table that has clearly not been cleaned and set up! Starters were great; scallops good and the octopus great. Then everything went downhill ... the OTT fries was cold, borderline soggy. The broccolini was not properly charred. The steak (we ordered a Wagyu ribeye medium rare) but came way over cooked. We sent it back but it was brought again to our table and the server relayed the the chef said it's medium rare. We weren't taking it so he relented and said the chef will fire a new one, but his tone was condescending and rude, especially when he asked again, "Let me confirm so do you want it medium rare or rare?". The second steak brought out was almost as bad. It was less cooked but it was patchy, raw in some parts, medium rare in some and overcooked in some. The seasoning is inconsistent, the meat is dry and not seared well. There's no marbling and the steak is just sad. At this point, I'm not sure if it's their Chef's lack of cooking skills or their quality of meat is bad. But no one came to check on us again, or to ask for feedback. They were more interested in closing up and saying bye.
