Overly enthusiastic staff kept upselling their signature dishes to us. If the signature dishes are nice, it is still acceptable but the worse is the signature dish is like a dish from the conventional cai png stall we can get from coffee shop. word of advice: do not be overly trusting towards their recommendation.
First time there and already had a good impression. Excellent food, reasonable price, good service and friendly staff. Ample parking space not far from the restaurant and definitely will go back for more. Have yet to try their other dishes.
Friendly staff, nice food and nice ambience. They are in the process of shifting to a nearby location. Will try at the new location and hopefully the standard, price remains the same.
The food delicious. The black pepper crab is so yummy.. We ordered 2 crab, 1 "soon hock" fish, frog leg and a vegie and the bill comes up to an average of $40/pax for the food is consider cheap. Will definitely go back for their crab.
Restaurant called and transfer to the new branch at Citimac as I wanted air con table. Service from the staff at the restaurant was good and food is yummy.
The restaurant offer Excellent food and service, with generous portion. Ambient wise, it is just a basic family restaurant. value for money Will be back soon to enjoy the services
Food was good and value for money. They some how managed to get the Dishes that are challenging to cook all done just right. Not too oily, saltiness is well balanced. Service from staff is good as well. Will definitely return for more good food
I have been going back to eat at yi jia. The food is nice and good service. Worth the money. Will go back again next time. 👍
Marmite chicken and homemade toufu is nice! The price is reasonable too! Is better to make reservation before going to avoid long Q and wait time.
Food is good but took a while to arrive. Good thing is food arrived about the same time. Bonus to have air conditioning. Reservation was smooth.
Managed to book a table for dinner on the same day in the aircon section. Overall good food and service received. Will definitely patronize again.
Staff are attentive and food are ok with reasonable price on their crabs. Location still ok with limited parking lots. Serving portion just nice. May visit again.
The restaurant was very noisy & crammed, not for people who needs serenity 😊 The food is pretty decent, creamy salted egg crabs is ok though a little bit on the runny side, Chili crab is passable, crab beehoon is pretty good. Fish head steamboat is also passable & the melon prawn ball is good. Price is reasonable. Overall I wud rate 6.5-7/10
The food was great... crabs were on promotion at $50 for 2 and we tried the salted egg (wet) style. Ordered the beancurd with preserved vegetable and garlic pork ribs together with fried rice. Staff was friendly and service was good.
Waitress didnt explain clearly about the daily promotion item which mislead us .... felt the std not as good as before, didn't meet our expectation..
Quite slow service. In the end had to cancel the last dish. Very poor restaurant layout indoor too, we need to sqeeze in as other tables took more space
Food arrive late and service not prompt. Appeared to be la k of serving staff. One of the worthrdering dish is the cai Poh Tao Hu.
Price is much worth during normal days. Portions of food is quite big as well. Had recommended friends to this restaurant as well. Pls give it a try!
Value for money. Prompt service and food is simply awesome ... will definitely come back again. Suckling pig could have been better at $188 ... :-)
Nice food with reasonable price. Will go back again to try more food. Must try dishes, Curry fish head, chai po Beancurd and cereal prawn.
Seafood was fresh, selection was good and prices are definitely reasonable. However, the location is a little difficult to find/find a carpark (I was lucky to get a spot right in front of the restaurant). In addition, the taste can be improved (used to be better, however it may be because of the peak CNY crowd). To be fair, it tastes good, but I remember it to taste better.
Food is definitely nice but the reservation process is not good. The restaurant did not call to confirm my reservation which i did not know there is a need to. I almost couldn't get a table but luckily i called to ask. Using this application is no use
Service was good and food were all delicious! The tofu we ordered was cold inside and they immediately replaced with a hot crispy tofu! Crab promo was worth it! 2 for $50 (:
Wide spread of food at a reasonable price. I especially enjoyed the steamed mussels, the mussels here seem to be different variety from other places, although some had sand in it.
Food is good. But I remember it to be better when it was in Toa Payoh. But neverthelesd, still worth it. Esp the crabs where there is a promo.
super crowded place, but the food is really value for money.. $55 per kg for crabs on 21 Jan (1 week before CNY weekend).. that is reasonable.. Most restaurants would already have increased prices.
Food was not as good as the Toa Payoh branch. Our online reservation wasn't registered. Luckily there were still empty tables available for us. Needs improvement.
We love the salted egg pork rib, honey dew prawn ball, sambal Kang Kong is delicious. Food was Super yummy. A very noisy ambience l
Yummy food and cheap... Crabs having the promotion for 2 for $50... Firstly, we would like to order 7 dishes but we only four persons... The waitress was suggested us if we worry it is too much just cancelled one dish... Great and nice waitress ...
One of my fav Chinese restaurants, or zhi char as locals call it. Loved the salted egg crab and 3 egg veges. Would definitely be back for more again.
Service, food is good and venue is accessible (near Tai Seng MRT) for gathering. I will recommended for gatherings. Will definitely book this place again for other events in future.
Yummy food; curry fish head is a must-try. crowded on weekends so reservations are a must. Wait staff are very busy but respond quickly once you get their attention.
Their food are superb! Esp their salted egg prawn, vegetable which tasted so special( recommended by the staff) and their champagne pork ribs! Great service too. Will visit again.
Crabs on offer were fresh and good. Usual must order the homemade tofu, salted egg pork rib which is the dry version. Service not bad.
Fast confirmation of reservation .Received reminder call before reservation timing . Nice food at reasonable price , will recommend friends and family to visit again .
The food is really good and service provided is also very prompt. Love the crab especially. In conclusion, I felt my visit there a very pleasant one.
This is my 4th visit to YiJia. I like that the service is good, food is tasty and price is reasonable. It has tables to accommodate a get-to-together with friends.
good service, food served fast and of good portion. good for families
The food was very good with reasonable and affordable prices. The Service could be improved though. Generally a pleasant experience. Would recommend to give it a try. Parking is a bit of a hassle.
Overall, I would say that the food and price are reasonable and nice. I would recommend this restaurant for gatherings or celebrations with family. A place I would consider coming back again
