We were late due to rain and unexpected heavy traffic; got carried away with catching up & sat passed the time the restaurant took its late afternoon break, yet the staff were patient and did not rushed us off.

It was very nice in general. Only upset about the taste of the vegetables we ordered. 津白菜 is totally no taste. We have shared with the staff there and they are positively taken the comment from us and agreed to improve. We all agreed that the tea there is very good . Thoughts this is because they use good quality tea leave. We will revisit again for sure. Looking forward to see them get improvement every time.

Food is OK. Just that service provided not up to expectation, waited dessert from 9.30pm to 10.40pm. Dinner started 7.45pm. Waiters service not up to expectation, feeling like being forgotten of our appearance. During abalone dishes, changing of dirty plates, fork & knife only provided halfway we having abalone. Hopefully, overall service could be improved.

Food is nice esp old duck soup, fish n bean curd appetizers. Place is pleasant n service is good. Unfortunately, the prices are too high! Pork n beef $48 per plate! Called n enquired about card promo n was told 20% off but later told us it doesn’t apply on PH! Disappointed!

Food and service are good, but price is higher than other restaurant. Checked with service crew if there is discount rate for certain payment mode he replies no. After payment made noticed 10% off if pay by FAVE:(

The waiters and waitresses were unassuming, thoughtful, warm, courteous and likeable. The decor is simple and stylish. The background noise was just right - background music mixed with the muffled chatter of the other diners, peppered by the occasional sounds from the kitchen. The atmosphere was pleasant, unpretentious and welcoming. The pace at which food was served was just right - each subsequent dish was served slightly before or right after the previous was devoured and we were never kept waiting too long for our subsequent dish. Each dish was served hot - not piping hot such that it would scald your tongue but hot enough so that you know it's fresh from the wok (we were fortunate to have even the Old Shanghai Smoked Fish and the Jiangnan Crispy Eel, two appetisers which are usually served chilled or at room temperature, served hot a.k.a fresh from the wok). The portion sizes were just right and the presentation was pleasing to the eyes. The tableware came in intriguing shapes and sizes and delightful colours and designs. The Old Shanghai Smoked Fish, the Jiangnan Crispy Eel, the Sweet and Sour Pork Ribs and the Stir Fried Rice Cake with Vegetable and Pork are highly recommended (although those without a sweet tooth may want to refrain from ordering the first three items together or eating them concurrently or consecutively). The Shanghai Braised Pork Meatball with Vegetable in Brown Sauce is a little too sweet for my liking. The Signature Shrimps with Crabmeat could have used a different type of shrimp - the kind which when cooked presents a crystal clear appearance (or does this have to do with the cooking method). Appreciate that the the restaurant sought our opinion on the food at the end of our meal. Hope to return to try the other dishes on the menu.
