We really enjoyed the food! The seasoning was on point. The chicken was really tender. HOWEVER, we were disappointed that a lot of the best sellers were already sold out/left with a few skewers at the second seating. I felt that the chefs could have managed their food inventory a little better such that there's a reasonable amount of the popular items available for order for both seatings. We were probably the first group to arrive for the second seating, and we placed our order fairly quickly. But we were told that the tail was out of stock. 15 minutes after placing our order, we were told that there was only 1 chicken wing skewer (we ordered 4) and 1 p-man cheese (ordered 2). But (40 minutes into our meal) we saw the chefs serving a plate of at least 10 sticks of wings to another table of 4 pax? Well, very disappointing.

First time to Yatagarasu and we felt as though we stepped into Japan without leaving the country. From the vibes to the chef and store manager, everything screamed Japanese, at the main outlet at least. Service was fabulous, we had great recommendations for 2 different bottles of dry sake. They also readily accommodated our request for 2 pax and later increased to 4 pax. Foodwise, I really enjoyed the curry rice skewers which are super unique and flavorful. They also do really good yakitori dumplings (chicken) and chicken skin. I love their clam soup, as well as the fresh oysters too. Will definitely be back!

I recently visited and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with the smoky flavors of the dishes served. Each bite was like a blissful journey of flavors that tantalized my taste buds. The attention to detail in the preparation of the dishes, along with the excellent service made for an unforgettable dining experience. I will definitely be returning and recommending it to my friends and family.

I’ve gone to Yatagarasu multiple times, and always impressed by the quality of the yakimono served. My favorite is the grilled rice balls, and chicken hearts!

A disclaimer that I've not been to many stand-alone yakitori places, but this place was sublime. The skewers were delectable, and all were juicy regardless of their cut. Appropriately seasoned and grilled expertly, each stick was a joy to eat. only wished the chicken skin could have been slightly more crisp at some sections but that's me nitpicking. Be prepared to leave with a happy belly and a smokey scent lingering on you.
