soup base is decent and the quality of the meats are pretty great

First time visited, not bad in overall foods. Only the "jun tang" soup base not that tasty as we thought. Still good experience in overall.

Tried orchard outlet for the first time since they closed down the bedok outlet. Food standard was great as always. But service was a little harder to get since this outlet is bigger and busier as well.

The restaurant is super hot. Can’t enjoy the meal well. The food was nice but the heat makes me unable to enjoy the good meal.

what I can say is that this soup base is not bad

The mala and pork bone soup base is good 👍🏻 like that they have half serving options for most of the food

Compared to its more customer-centric rival, there are some obvious differences. 1) the soups here are of a higher level. I greatly recommend the pork bone soup, not for steamboat, but as soup for the meal. It was sweet and meaty, just like thr ABC soup you get outside. The butter mala is intense, even at mild. Dont be too ambitious with the spice level. 2) Ingredients wise was a mixed bunch. The meats tended to be good, both the lamb, pork and beef were great, cut slightly thicker then it H competitor. The other dishes (especially those china style ones such as sichuan tofu, gong cai, and boneless duck feet) were not particular interesting or pleasant. Maybe it's a acquired taste but they weren't particularly pleasant. 3) customer service exist in the latest sense, they will fill your soup and pretty much that's it. They did do it automatically which is a plus. 4) environment was bad, there a particularly annoying humming in the restaurant, and the spices were actually in the air, irritating my nose throughout the meal. Additional care is probably needed. I might eat at this chain again, but probably not this outlet.

So so service. Staff was not present to help most of the time. As compared to the more popular Chinese steamboat chain. This is day and night difference. Charging the premium, I don’t find this worth the money spent at all.

Despite requesting for quiet sitting area, place me right smack at the centre right beside condiment area. White rice is hard and dry.

The soup feel like it is not as nice as last time already. The mala feels less flavourful, maybe will need to order more spicy next time.

Repeated visits coz the hot pot fits our taste than others. Speed of food on the table is very fast

Mala soup was super oily, was impossible to drink it. Pork bone soup was alright. ingredients were fresh, just don’t expect the same kind of service like the bigger hotpot chains.

The mala soup is really spicy. Ordered zhong la and we were sweating 2 mouthful in! Overall it was ok

Service is alright, not too fantastic. Food was ok too. Not too sure why our table patrons had diarrhoea after eating the meal. Probably won’t revisit again as the food is generic, only soup is great.
