Lovely presentation of food. Great service and staff. Will visit soon
nice place but food is costly and taste mediocre. will not come again
Portion was huge. Interesting ambience and atmosphere. Good experience dining there. Cheers
The food is nice and portion is readable. Worth to get a try!
BEAUTIFUL ATMOSPHERE , WIDE RANGE OF FOOD SELECTIONS AND ALSO EXPERIENCING DINNER ON A SHIP!
Good and fast service. The Chinese food standard is there. Taste wise, it is good but can be improved. The good point about this place is you get to see great view while the view is revolving.
service provided is great. free sitting, can choose to either sit at the lower deck or upper deck. nice view from the upper deck at night, and good ambience. would be better if there are more variety of food choices added to the menu, choices seem a little limited. waves can be quite choppy during the night time, might not be suitable for people who gets motion sickness easily.
Serving was fast and Delicious food esp Truffle pasta and Beef steak
Environment & atmosphere was good. Suitable for couple to go. Not suitable for people who will get seasicks. More for drinker coz choice of food was limited.
Food was good. But insufficient staff resulting in long wait time to be served. Good ambience n concept on a small riverboat. Worth a visit.
Decor and atmosphere can be better. Food is pretty good, setting not bad. Staff seems a little short handed, only one staff doing cashiering, serving, taking orders etc. I love the place, and the concept of dining on the sea is good, but it can be better I believe.
It was a really nice experience! Food was good, ambience was good, staff were helpful. I guess the only thing missing were desserts! Oh, and it seems like there weren't any vegetarian options. Can consider!
Had a really bad experience on the ship as the rolling on the waves caused dizziness and 2 out of my party of 4 left within 15 mins to avoid being completely sea-sick. The quality of the food was not fantastic and spread quite minimal. Could not see the fireworks unless you climb up to the highest deck and only can be viewed from the right. Finally surrendered and called it a night within an hour of arrival. Certainly killed the NY Eve for us as we all reached home feeling queasy. Pity as the riverboat is gorgeous from the outside and concept is interesting, but unfortunately not able to pull it off for an amazing experience. The service staff tried very hard to improve our visit and even found us a table on the first deck despite it being fully booked. The fact that there were quite a lot of empty tables by 9pm says it all for the patrons.
I waited for so long end up need to cancel the dishes. bad service ever hope will improve on follow customers orders and do check on the customer desire regularly.
The food and ambience were fantastic! Wood and steel was much quieter and emptier than the Tex mex, so it has a more private feel. You're able to cross order from tex mex even if you're eating at wood and steel. However, people who are prone to sea/motion sickness should be mindful that Wood and Steel is located at the uppermost/second uppermost deck hence the rocking is much more pronounced especially during windy/choppy waters!
The food, the atmosphere and the service are good. surprised that the staff can recognize me.. thumb ups
The boat keeps rocking and it's very hard to concentrate on eating, so try not to go during rainy weather. Overall, the food is good but the portion is a bit little.
The service is really good and the food is delicious as well. Nice atmospehere and ambience for a date. Excellent restaurant and price is reasonable as well.
Great food and good service despite the fact there was a small function happening at the same time. The boat swayed a little more than I expected but this was not an issue for me. Although it can be perceived to be out of the way it was easy to get to as it is just because the Marina South Pier MRT station.
It was a brand new experience to be eating on the boat although it can get a little shaky and dizzy. Location is a little deserted for Marina South pier
Ambience was good but the food is just plain and normal. It isn't really worth paying a premium for the quality of the food. It was tough to get a parking lot as well.
Food wasn't nice. Ordered Prawn Star and the prawns were not fresh at all. Wasted money for the food. Could have spent better elsewhere with better quality. The music played was foreign to me. Definitely not pop songs but some R&B rock music.
Service was rather slow, probably due to the sudden change of weather. But a rainy day back up plan should be planned out for such cases. 1 hour and 30 mins for the starter to be served is too slow even for a sudden change in weather.
Good customer service. I requested a table where I can see fireworks and my request was granted. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I will surely return to the restaurant.
Good food and romantic ambience on top of a ship. Pick your dishes wisely otherwise u may end up with little portion. Dont go if u have sea sickness. The waiters were slow and didnt know how to handle groupon
Food they offer were very nice and tasty! Nice ambience too. Would love to come back and try other dishes. But there are times that the boat are a bit wiggly and makes us dizzy! But overall, its a superb place especially for a friday chill out night with friends and/or family
A very nice and romantic restaurant, Another hangout for couples who love to have a quiet moment, Food is nice but there could be more variety.
Great dinner and nice music. Love the food there, excellent service
food was ok. ambience is good. was suggest those with motion sickness to give it a miss.
Good floor service and food came fast. Portions are a tad small for the mains but the bar bites made up for it. Great ambience too but do check the weather before going as a heavy downpour can cause the floor to flood.
Service was a tad slow despite us being the only guest on a weekend. Ambience was okie. Nice sunset and experience dining on board a boat. Service staff has room for improvements.
The restaurant crew are very nice. The food is delicious and it was a wonderful experience dining at Wood & Steel Gastrobar. Will visit the restaurant again.
Nice atmosphere. boat a bit rocky every time a ferry passes. Food portions is small, Meat platter can be finished by two reasonable eaters. Service so-so, waiter a bit blur. Needs more practice. Recommended for those who remember the A&W Riverboat.
The ambience was great, with excellent music. The service offered was of a good standard as the waiters were extremely friendly and fast to respond.
Not many can enjoy the food no metter how testy because the boat keep shaking; we couldn't finish our dinner due to giddyness and left early. Same happened to customers next table as theirs kids were crying and parents were forced to gave up their food.
Nice ambiance, great for chilling and chit chatting! Restaurant was on a ferry so they have a nice view of the sea, but not for people who have sea-sickness.. The food was great too!
Scenery was good, it was on a boat and kind of rocky. Luckily they provided motion sickness pills. Overall food was good. Not many people dine there
Great place to chill and hangout with friends and loves ones.. The food is nice and great paring with wine.. And there is a live band for entertainment..
It was great . the staff were very friendly . The food was yummy, and the place was awesome. I will recommend to my friends.
Nice place for friend gathering, food and service was good.
