Korean cuisine is these days very often associated with BBQ, which is great, but what about more traditional Korean cuisine? Well, people of Singapore, the good news is that Todamgol prides itself on exactly that – top class and wonderfully traditionally Korean food that those around Outram Park and Tanjong Pagar Road go rather wild for. The restaurant itself is stylish and cosy while the menu offers satisfying dishes in the way of pork backbone stew with potato, pigs’ feet with veg and a mustard sauce, grilled unagi and grilled saba fish. You’d also be wise to try a side of Korean sausage. Singapore is lucky to have Todamgol, so reserve a table now.
The food is a bit expensive, but environment is good. Hope can visit this restaurant again next time. Haha haha Haha haha .. .. ..
Have been to Todamgol many times. The variety of traditional korean foods and flavour that makes me always come back. It’s a good place for you to hang out with friends till quite late as they open until 3am. Please make sure you do reservation before hand to avoid any disappointment.
Very nice food! Good customer service as staffs are very attentive. Would strongly recommend people to come here. Do try their pancakes and Korean stew!
Food quality was excellent and ambience was like a restaurant in Korea.
The food is authentic and the mushroom beef we ordered was generous in portion such that my two kids and I could not finish. The side dishes were delectable as well. Pricing is higher than its neighbours and those around Raffles Place I would say but I suppose they make it up with the portions and their authentic taste. On a Sunday night they were understaffed such that we had to walk to them to obtain refills.
Food and ambience was good. Staff service was very good and accommodating. 2 of my friends were first timers at Todamgol And they love everything there and had an enjoyable time.
Todamgol is always a nice place to have some good old Korean cuisine. Always have a good experience. I ordered a duck dish that was on the board and it was pretty good. Not gourmet cuisine but it is more than adequate.
We ordered the budae jjigae (their signature dish) and it was delicious. The soup had a strong kick to it and the stew became tastier as we got to the bottom. There were two of us but the entire bowl was massive and was enough for three people. They were generous with the luncheon meat (thick slabs) which is always welcome!
Came here with two other friends after some CNY shopping at Chinatown. The last time I came was 2 years ago and food was very good then. This time, we ordered the seafood pancake, jap chae, spicy tofu soup and the Korean fish cake set. Food quality has dropped drastically and they forgot our jap chae and seafood pancake orders until we reminded them for the second time. And service was poor.
I had a total of 12 pax, we were brought into a room it was kinda squeeze but the ambience was damn good like privacy and stuff. The food is super good as well as the service of the staff. However, the food during dinner time is on the pricey side so do bring extra cash.
