Tippling Club is one of the most recognisable establishments in Singapore and Asia’s dining scene. Chef-owner Ryan Clift and his team continually challenge the global food and drink landscape by consistently bringing inventive offerings to the table at their Tanjong Pagar Road premises through a clever use of the team’s intimate knowledge of ingredients, flavours and equipment. Tippling Club has won over diners and critics from the world over with their unique approach to gastronomy paired with equally eclectic cocktails. Most recently, Tippling Club was ranked number 31 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants of 2016 list and named 12th on the inaugural Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2016 list. Needless to say, bookings are essential!
Exercising a restraint that would throttle the success of any inferior restaurant concept, Tippling Club has triumphed time and again from the moment of its inception, through its move to Tanjong Pagar and to the present day. Largely eschewing a la carte dining is a bold and risky statement, but with the gastronomic nous of Ryan Clift at the wheel, it’s little wonder that Tippling Club has been the recipient of so many prestigious awards over the course of its short existence. Spanning the length of three heritage Singapore shophouse units on Tanjong Pagar Road, the venue’s aesthetics alone are truly impressive. Featuring a private room on the upper floor, a bar and a stunning dining space, Tippling Club appeals to the would-be interior designer in all of us, creating a sensory experience that leaves a lasting impression.
The contemporary cuisine on offer here is nothing less than extraordinary, with dishes spread over just two tasting menus, the classic five-course menu, and the gourmand ten-course menu. You have the option of pairing the Club’s famed cocktails for the full Tippling experience, or you can sample the extensive wine list for more traditional wine-paired dining. If drinking is your main goal, the bar snacks act as perfect accompaniments to your cocktail and include such gourmet options as blue swimmer crab cakes, charred peppers with soy and wasabi and the braised Wagyu pastilla with avocado puree, chilli and coriander salsa. The restaurant features a lunch menu that changes monthly, so you never know what’s in store for you at Tippling Club’s Tanjong Pagar headquarters, but that’s a good thing – after all, you know it’s going to be the best with chef Clift running the show. This world-renowned restaurant is truly indescribable – book your experience today for the VIP treatment at Singapore’s Tippling Club.
Imaginative concept for drinks! Love the jelly babies & the pretty paper bag that they came in! Service was great too -- friendly & attentive, without hovering.
Amazing food, service, ambience. Great options for lunch with a 2 or 3 course option or full tasting menu. Went for lunch with 2 girlfriends and loved it.
If you don't want to spend $$$$$ on their dinner but you still want to try one of the Asia's top 50 you should definitely try their lunch. Good portion and service too.
A great place to entertain! My invited guests love the food and experience at this restaurant. The presentation is awesome and we like having the staff coming to explain what we are having especially the surprise appetizers. Love it!
My wife and I have had the pleasure of dining at the Tippling Club a few times over the past several years. Last night was a special evening, as one of my good friends and his wife will be leaving Singapore. We wanted to take them someplace special, and they had not been to Tipping before. We all had a wonderful evening. The food is always so creative, and the five course meal left us fully satisfied. The presentation is unique, along with fine level of service. A most enjoyable evening and we will be back.
If you are looking for the Hidden gem of Duxton, Tippling Club is the place to go. The service is top notched, every thing was timely and the food is so, so, so good.
We loved the food here, I went with the vegetarian option and the meal did not miss a beat (or should i say beet)! The pairing menu was great to match the food. If I had one issue it was understanding the pronunciation of the food and wines by the staff who often seemed a little nervous of presenting but overall a good effort!
The tasting menu was interesting enough although we didn't like some of the items but it's a new experience for us. The place was a bit cramp and the wine list by the glass was limited. Other than that we had a nice evening. Service was good.
Awesome tastes, interesting platings, excellent service and relaxed athmosphere. Also vegetarian options offered. Amuse-bouches guides to the meal and nice petit fours completes the journey. Very interesting restaurant and menu.
Wonderful experience from the amazing drinks selection at the bar, the "classic" 5 course meal, to the coffee at the end of the evening. The scallop dish was heavenly.
