Thirteen Duxton Hill

Very disappointed about the experience. We went there to enjoy a new concept and were ready to get tones of flavors. The concept might too "concept" for us but when you choose to get the Chef Menu, 7 courses for $66 you expect to be surprised and better if it's in a good way. Yes we were surprised but we didn't get it at all. The first dish was beautiful and delicate, then the 2nd was a croissant served with baby corn, butter sauce and cocoa! Not sure why this dish is even in the menu. The 3rd dish was basically a chicken liver mixed with butter, it's really impossible to eat except if you like to eat pure butter. The last dish was a full fish, definitely not the best way to finish a meal! No cheese, no desert. A Chef Menu isn't it a Menu with starter, main course and desert? Especially for $66? I would not recommend this restaurant.

Excellent imaginative cooking with very good flavors. staff were knowledgeable and quite helpful. Short wine list with a few well selected items but needs some more variety and depth.

Nice ambience with very friendly owners. Love the croissant! Portions are good for sharing. Wish we were a bigger crowd so we could have had a chance to try more dishes!

Thirteen Duxton Hill is a great new find. Delicious, imaginative food without the pretentiousness. Great service. great ambience. reasonable prices. we will definitely be back!

Best words to describe the food are interesting & unexpected. May not be everyone's cup of tea. But for me personally, I'll go back because Chef John creates truly original food which is also tasty, in most parts.
