Great service and the atmosphere was great and cosy. The mains like the Fish n Chips is the best and their desserts were great too.

Order their fish and chips when you come here to dine. It's their specialty menu. Overall, great dining experience, value for money and good atmosphere.

Food wasn't that bad although it wasn't WOW. Maybe it was just a personal preference thing. Some of them were too salty while some were low on flavour. Fantastic service though! :- )

Ambience was meh, kinda underwhelmed especially since there was so much hype around it. Ordered the burger, and the party was like a giant, tough meatball that was too salty. Maybe their seafood options are better, but still, a subpar burger is disappointing.

It was crowded. Service is slow. Some of the item in the menu are not available and knowing is Friday they should have prepared more.

Place very small. Lady boss very friendly. Was being seated in less 5mins despite the crowd n Q as I had mahe a reservation. Smart move to make. the customers order and pay 1st. We waited 1hr15mins for them to serve our orders. Food came hot and nice. Beef patty has a unique taste n so does the sausages. Very satisfied with their chocolate melt for dessert. Lady boss gave us complimentary brownies for being patience. :) . Price+taste+location+service-waiting time: quite satisfying and worth trying.

Was pretty disappointed with the Fish & Chips we ordered, the batter was very thick. It would be better if it was lighter and not so thick.

Fantastic food and great service! The fish and chips (dory, cod, and haddock) were tasty and just the right portion. The marmite honey chicken wings were marinated perfectly.

The marmite wings tastes better than it looks. The mashed potato taste a little too sour. The cods chips were ok. Liked the chips as its thick kind. Will return again if around the area

Served good and delicious food. Will visit this place the next time around with my family. Nice cosy atmosphere. Would be nice if the server is able to take orders too!

Friendly folks, eclectic vibe. Food could do with less salt though. Staff called to confirm reservation and informed that fish and chips was not available. That's useful :)

Food is good but the place seems to need more service staff especially when it got crowded in the later part of the evening. Also, they got our request to change an item wrong and our food took a long time to come. Otherwise, the overall experience was ok.

Small and cosy place to chill with your friends. The food is not consistent. The first time I went, the fish and chips were good. Crispy and fresh fish! But the 2nd visit, the batter became soggy after only 3mins being served to us. Check your fish first when you receive your order.

The mashed potato was soooo goooood. I love it. The restaurant recommended when you want eat halal food in Singapore. The place was so comfy to go with frienda 👍👍👍👍👍

Liked the food, especially the warm brioche + gravy of curried mussels and the batter for the fish and chips. Appallingly slow service even in the unhectic late Thursday afternoon.

If you are craving for fish and chips, this is the place to go. They served the freshest fish i ever ate!

Wrong move to have visited on a Friday night. It was far too crowded for our dining good, and as a result they ran out of fries, so we were served fish & chips with mashed potatoes (without sauce). The mashed potatoes serving was a little too abundant. Everything felt a little too messy... Space constraint was unbelievable, on top of the impossible waiting time. Hopefully things will get better when it is less hyped. Fortunately the servers were really nice people who tried their best to give us as pleasant a dining experience as they could manage. We'd like to visit again just maybe not anytime soon...

Not bad at all.. highly recommended for people who loves seafood and the ambiance are also amazing. Good service though its self service, staffs were amazing n friendly

The food served was absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. The reservation process was also very smooth and easy to do so!

Food tasted nice but it is ridiculous to wait an hour plus for our food to be served. It was my friend's second time coming here to accompany the rest of us who have not yet tried. She warned us about having to wait an hour the first time she came and thought of giving them a second chance but none of us will be coming back due to the service being way too slow.

Came slightly earlier, food was good. Made the wrong order, ordered another and was reminded of a promotion of 10%. Great ambience though price a little steep.

Good food, sufficient portions. Nice laid-back ambience with live music playing outside along Haji Lane on the Saturday night we visited. The only drawback is price of drinks is slightly high.

great food but the long waiting to be serve has alot room of improvement.. or the least being told to guests of the waiting estimated time.. and serve the snacks first before main courses .. overall experience was ok..

The quantity of their food are just nice & me and my two friends are satisfy w the service & food! It is a must for local or tourist/foreigner to try their food!

Didn't like the space. It was a tad too cramped. It was not pleasant to have to keep walking in a cramped place to get our own utensils, take the condiments, make our order at the counter. Food didn't meet expectation but it was OK.

Bad service and lack-lustre food. i most definitely won't be recommending them to my friends. Quite disappointing to be honest. Was looking forward to eating there. Guess I was wrong.

For a start , Syarr refused to put 2 tables for us on the first level, so we have to go #2. Then we had to go down to make an order and payment, sucha hassle. One of our orders didn't come at all, waited one hour for it. Food was so-so, I guess it has been overrated all along. I dont think i would wanna make a comeback to The Mad Sailors.

Food was awesomely delicious. Place was like a scene from a harry potter movie. And service was just fine. I would definitely go again for the eggs royale.

The food was not warm for all of us, it was lukewarm. On top of that some of the dishes costing $18 and above was pretty bland. The service was good however the food wasn't.

Service was great, but waiting time for food was far too long. Took 50 minutes for all our food to come, saw a table leave too because of the long wait.

Nice quaint cafe, go during off peak timing for a better experience. Good place to go if you're missing british grubs, plus point it's halal.

The staff are friendly and helpful. And also the food is awesome and affordable. Recommend to try their british dishes. Especially the bangers & Mash

The cafe is quaint and perfect a place to read a book. Really love how they actually use recycled chairs. One point for being environmentally friendly. The lightings are not so intense and this is a good thing so that we really felt the vintage and nostalgic ambience. The owner (she looks like she's from UK), has a really big smile and she is very prompt in her service. My friend ordered a carrot cake and ohmygoshhhhh the flavour was so intense, it melted right through my heart. One bite sufficed them all. I ordered the Welsh Rarebit, a cheesy delicacy eaten by matsallehs! Even though it was served as a snack, it was filling for dinner. When the music started playing, it felt we were transported through time.

It's a small and cozy space that's suitable for small groups. Friendly staffs, waiting time for food was slightly long, especially for food like pasta/burgers.

Waiting time was a bit too long. Had to wait roughly 45mins to an hour before we got ourfood. Otherwise, the food was pretty good.

Ordered food at 8.08 and it came at 9.15pm. was thinking if they actually outsourced the fish and chips. the foods were not up to a normal range of standard. the fish and chips were over fried. it was hard. it will be my first and last visit there. i was upset because the dinner was a birthday treat for my friend.

The atmosphere and food was great, just a bit too pricey i think. Fish and chips was not bad. Great location and I really like how that restaurant name came about!

Service was great, but food was quite hit and miss. I had the fish and chips which were quite bland, but my friend had the bangers and mash which was pretty good.
