If you’re in Singapore and a lover of Cantonese cuisine or, more specifically, dim sum, then Taste Paradise at ION Orchard Mall is a restaurant you very much ought to try. This place is award-winning and consistently thought of as one of Singapore’s best Chinese restaurants, perhaps because the team here strive to provide the most authentic Chinese experience possible, not just with the food but with the service and decor of the restaurant as well. On Orchard Turn and right next to Orchard MRT, Taste Paradise has all the attributes required to become your new favourite Chinese restaurant in Singapore. Reserve a table now.
From the moment you step into Taste Paradise in Orchard Turn’s beautifully-decorated dining area you’re hit with a delight for the senses. With beautiful colours, wall motifs and seating arrangements to look at, as well as aromas of proper Cantonese cooking to smell and savour, you’ll very quickly find yourself in the mood to tuck in a napkin and get started. Before you do, however, the waiting staff at ION Orchard Mall’s Taste Paradise will warmly welcome you and be happy to answer any initial questions you might have about specials, drinks or dietary requirements.
Taste Paradise on Orchard Turn is known for its dim sum above all else and is particularly revered for its shark fin signatures, prepared with refreshingly different mixes of Cantonese herbs and spices. Aside from shark fin, however, we’d certainly suggest ordering the classic steamed Shanghai pork dumplings or the deep-fried prawn with mango roll if you feeling like having seafood. Both are vibrant and delightful. We’d also suggest you leave enough room for dessert, as the XO carrot cake at Taste Paradise is an absolute treat. You’ll be unsurprised to hear that Taste Paradise is a very popular Orchard restaurant so our third and final suggestion is to reserve a table in advance to avoid disappointment.
Good and nice food. Service ok and environment nice. Location is convenient
Food is fantastic, as well as the service and ambience. Price is on the high side but the quality is there. Highly recommended as a dim sum place.
Food and ambience were great. Highly recommended. Had weekday dim sum lunch for a family of 5. For food items which came in 3 pcs, we were impressed that they could customise portions of 5 and charge them accordingly instead of ordering double portions like so many restaurants. However, the manager was nice to tell us that this was possible only when it was not peak hours, eg during weekend meals. Service was fantastic and personalised. There was an incorrect order of 15 egg tarts which arrived (instead of 5). We didn't make. A big deal of it as it was good and we wanted to takeaway the ones we couldn't finish. When the manageress saw, she acknowledged a mistake (without us even giving any feedback on it as we had eaten the food anyway). In the end she charged us for 9 instead of 15. Great integrity on their part.
Dim sum was great. The booking allows minimal waiting time. Food is on the procey sode but quality was great. Service was great too. Will return
Taste Paradise at ION Orchard Mall - foods are nice and very tasty Taste Paradise at ION Orchard Mall - staff are friendly, very nice
My friends and myself enjoy the dim sum very much, one of the best in Singapore. Their service staff are friendly and able to give appropriate recommendation. We would like to visit Taste Paradise at least once a month.
The dim sum is fantastic and some dishes it is famous for are the XO sauce fried carrot cake and poached noodles with egg white and crab meat. They are also our family favorites! A minor problem is the dim lighting in the restaurant, which makes it difficult to take nice photos of the fantastic food or even selfies!
Overall, a solid dim sum experience. We found that their steamed offerings fared better than the fried ones - for example, the "har gao" and "siew mai" were fantastic, while items like the taro balls and the prawn and mango fritters seemed a bit tired and lacklustre. Service was generally good.
Excellent food and very good services. Location is also very convenient. The food is better than those in Canton Paradise. Strongly recommended. After the eating you can go to 56th floor Ion Sky to enjoy the full view of Singapore.
Service standard is very good. Same as the first time I been there. Haven't change. Food wise is normal, slightly above average. Price wise is a little high but otherwise it is ok to go once a while.
