Nice environment with nice decoration, including the colourful style of the menu and nice crockery. Only downside was a decorative ornament fell off the wall and the staff tried to reattach it with sellotape which was inadequate and was bound to fall off again, which it did. Toilets were clean and soap provided. Service was friendly. Interesting menu design with a few items I have not seen at other Indian restaurants. I did not notice much oil in the curries that we took away to eat later. The Methi Paratha Tandoor, and Kulcha e Amritsar were particularly nice. The Palak Paneer is good but could use some spice and increase the ratio of spinach to cream as it felt a bit light/healthy. The Kala Channa Tikki Chaat was also a nice starter but could use some condiments - either spice, mint or sweetness. For the ‘chai with mathi’. The chai was made fresh and was good, albeit very a small glass. The mathi that came with it was unpleasant and both I and partner had to spit it out. The oil it contained had gone rancid - it was either a very old mathi or the oil used to fry it was old. Restaurant provides table/tap water which is a bonus, but does have a service charge. Payment by PayNow rather than credit card. Overall, I would try it again. I assume the issue with the mathi was a one-off and not enough to put me off using the place for a second time.
Exceptional Punjabi Food and good service, ideal for a social or family gathering.
Amazing food! We ordered Chole bhathure, Amritsari kulcha, Hakka noodles and chicken tikka. Everything was bang on!
Delicious food, great service. Highly recommend. Seating is limited so at peak times booking is better.
Love this place, bit worried for their business (we were the only customers on Sunday evening) so if do go down if you can! We enjoyed almost everything but thought the butter chicken can be more flavourful and spicy.
Highly recommend this restaurant! Lovely ambience, friendly service and most importantly the food was DELICIOUS. Only 2 of us so we couldn't try much but we had butter naan, palak paneer, and the tandoori chicken wings. Yum. Pricier than many of the restaurants in the area, but it is also clean, air-conditioned and we thought the portion was fair.
This was my 3rd visit to Swag Se. The food has been consistently good. Our favourites are the tandoori chicken, butter chicken, mutton rogan josh and methi paratha tawa.
My friends (including an Indian foodie) and I were impressed by the food and service standards at Swag Se. The dishes were tasty and refined, plus there was no unpleasant aftertaste or bloatness which i usually feel after dining out. The food took a bit of time to come because we came just after a larger group at opening time. We also asked for a dish which the kitchen didn't have the ingredients but they went out of their way to get them. The staff was also very attentive to our specifications.
Very good food and very good service.. great experience.. highly recommended
