Just the right amount of space given for each table, and their pastas are great (we had the crab linguine and the duck tagliatelle) :)
Ordered the beef cheek and the three meat sausage. Highly recommend both.
2nd time here and food didn't disappoint at all. suggest to go for the set which comes with a drink and dessert
Great value for money lunch sets. Loved the prawn spaghettini.
The food was good, but not great. The 1 for 1 taco deal was great. The appetizers were interesting and tasted slightly above average. I really enjoyed the roasted squash with rocket leaves however, the pasta was a bit of a downer. It had a nice taste to it because I really enjoy the truffle taste but it was just that. I like the simplicity but wished that there was a bit more sauce because it tasted a bit dry. The music was a little bit too loud but had a good choice of songs. Overall, an average dining experience which could be better. I may come back but with so many other interesting and better restaurants, I rather take my money elsewhere. I came because it had an interesting menu. Didn't quite deliver. Although the waitress who served my table was great, I forget her name though. Another thing, for some reason, it was really hard to find it. They should make a sign that says &SONS in front.
Portions here are small, but if you use Burpple Beyond's 1-for-1 here, your meal becomes more reasonably priced. There was a clear favourite at the table: Tagliatelle with Duck Ragu & Foie Gras ($26++). The pasta was cooked perfectly, & the creamy foie gras pieces complimented the light ragu, that was pleasantly not acidic - I only wish there were more duck meat inside. It's not that the Spaghetti with Sea Urchin Carbonara ($26++) wasn't enjoyable, but it took a back seat because the flavours were comparatively one-dimensional, with not much hint of the sea urchin, & the bacon bits were very tough to chew on. Truffle Fries was a good appetizer; fragrant & fried to a crisp, just like a good bowl of fries should be done. Happily munched on this while waiting for the mains to arrive (didn't take long), with a drink in hand because happy hour means cocktails & wines are surprisingly affordable. Will be back to try the pastas & possibly the other mains that sound pretty damn amazing. 💳 Accepts credit cards 🌬 Air-conditioned seats available ☀ Al fresco seats available 🍽 Burpple Beyond partner 🖥 Accepts reservations - I used Quandoo & clicked through ShopBack to get cashback 💦 Water is not chargeable
I had the Grilled Beef Steak today, and overall it was good - the steak I ordered was medium-rare and the potatoes were perfectly soft yet crunchy. However, just a note that the steak was not consistently medium-rare throughout; at one end it was almost rare. Also it would have been good to have more potatoes as compared to the salad they gave on the side; the salad was quite tough to manage as it was a lot and quite long (the ends stuck out as I tried to eat them). Otherwise, friendly and efficient staff, prompt receipt of food and water was given without needing to ask. Very good value for money.
Went with a friend on Friday night and it was pleasantly uncrowded. The decor of the place is great, service was also very good. We had a bottle of wine recommended by the waitress - the Nero Di Troia Puglia. Pretty good wine but on the sweet side. I had the wagyu beef ravioli, my friend had the duck confit and we shared the chocolate lava cake after. The ravioli was nicely done but would've liked a more meaty/beefy flavour. The duck confit was good but nothing spectacular. The chocolate lava cake was delicious! Overall a very good dining experience, would go back a 2nd time.
The place is actually not too bad, the food's relatively good & the drinks are quite value for money. The only downside is that I should have sat outside so that I can still have a proper conversation with my friends whilst the live band is playing (because I sat just beside the live band). The band is good but over all it was a good first visit and will be back (especially to try out the set lunches!).
After reading the reviews, I was excited to try this eatery, and booked two days before arriving, (on a Monday night). When we arrived there was one other table seated, and we were provided the guests of the night seating, at the entrance to the bar service hatch and under a noisy aircon (why book I ask myself). The menu was fairly interesting, but I would rate the food as marginally above average Italian as interpreted by non Italians. It was quiet and no vibe. I’d have no reason to go back, although my meal was exactly as ordered.
