Pretty close to an authentic BBQ taste, but serving size and value for money could be better. Nice service and atmosphere. Lots of families when I went on a Saturday

It was a nice and cosy place. The staff were all friendly and quite attentive. The ribs were good and the ribeye too. Coleslaw was quite watery which would be the downside. Beer was excellent

we booked a table but that wasn't necessary. Busy but nut full. Service was ok and the portionsize was big. But most of all it tasted very good!

Failed on multiple fronts: 1) Despite a half-empty restaurant (all tables were apparently booked) the waiter insisted on seating us beside the smoking area (we had our 2 year old son with us). 2) I ordered the blue cheese burger - big mistake. The patty was a solid lump of poor quality meat and they use a runny blue cheese dressing that clearly was made for wings rather than a burger. 3) My wife ordered crumbed smoked fish and chips: The fish had no texture and combined with the weird taste just did not work at all. Our son spat out his first mouthful of this creation - 2 year-olds have few preconceived notions and are very clear about what they do and don't like! If I'd never been to Smokey's before I'd give them a 1 on this occasion but I know they can do decent ribs and next time - if there is a next time - I'll not accept such a bad table and will not stray from the basics on their menu.

Service and food were great. Had pork ribs and they just fell off the bone. My husband had a burger and enjoyed it. We will go back to try their steaks.

Good selection of drinks. Big serving portions and delicious food. Would definitely go back again. Be sure to make a reservation before going since the place gets full quickly.

We started tucking into our plate of baby back ribs only to find that it had been cooked with the plastic covering. When we sent it back and received a "fresh" plate of ribs, it was covered with what we can only described as what looked like pubic hair...disgusting! The bonus of the night was rightfully not having to pay for the ribs but I can safely say it is the last time we will be dining at Smokey's.

The atmosphere is lively and seating was fine - the restaurant had called to reconfirm our booking and asked whether we wanted to sit inside or outside, which was nice. However, the food was only so-so. The meat was not that tasty and a bit too dry, although the portions were big and the meat did come apart from the bone quite easily. We ordered a salmon as well which was a bit fishy and probably not as fresh. The best dish was the beef short ribs, which was smothered in sauce.

Quite authetic southern bbq, service is good. Food portion is big so don't order too much. Only down part is parking is limited. So if you come late it will be hard to find a spot.

Ribs are great... So is the chicken.Nice and quiet environment... Staff is friendly and helpful... However, the milkshake is a huge letdown considering an American eatery.

The service provided was prompt & fast. Recommend that you call to confirm your reservation as staff mentioned that they did not received my reservation when I arrived. Food portions were big. It would be good if there is air-conditioned.

Both food and service has declined over the last year. This trip was marked by incorrect order being delivered, and the one veg burger on the menu not being available. When you run out of stock on something om a Saturday night I chalk that to poor planning. Once our favorite place in Singapore Smokey's has well and truly fallen off that pedestal

While I understand that I made the reservation on the day itself, I suppose there were vacant tables around at the restaurant. Therefore, either a choice should have been given or may be better seating could have been offered at the restaurant. Secondly, the 1/2 lb. steak was neither well cooked (tasted under-cooked in some portion) nor hot. The other items were good. The website suggests happy hour after 10 pm till closing but we were denied this offer while dining.

Really good spot for outdoor BBQ style restaurant. Portions were almost too big, but the food was VERY good. Our meal consisted of - Wngs, Pulled Pork sandwich, Burger, Jug of Belgium Wit. Wings were generously large, and ours (spicy) had just the right amount of flavor. Pulled pork sandwich was second to none, and probably the best I have ever had...and I have tried BBQ in many countries, including the U.S. Buns were large enough for the amount of meat in the sandwich but not so thick to distract from the main item! Meat was heavily smoked (and I don't necessarily like smoked) - THIS WAS REALLY GOOD! And the beer was served with frosted mugs - hit the spot VERY nicely. Service was pleasant but a little slow. We will be coming back and bringing some friends with us.

It was a fun atmosphere for the Super Bowl, and a fun time in general. Food was not up to Smokey's usual standards, but somewhat understandable since it was a buffet breakfast (i.e. not their normal fare). The crowd was good, but it did create some spacing issues since it was such a popular event.

This is real BBQ! A fun, casual space with TOP notch food and great drinks. If you're in Joo Chiat go, and if not, it's worth a trip there.

Absolutely disappointing. Ate here for dinner at 7 Feb. We had baby back ribs and beef brisket. They were both dry and bland. Appetisers were equally mediocre. Service was subpar too. Only the one female waitstaff was attentive. At one point, there were no waiters on the floor for five minutes. Don't eat here. If you want decent smoked meats, try Meatsmith.

Food was great as always but service has clearly gone down from where it was a few months ago. Staff was eager to wind up at 10pm starting to pick up the condiments from the table. Not as warm as it ised to be.

the beef brisket is succulent and the french fries well cooked. I had a hard time trying to finish the food as the quantity is too much for one to consume.Perhaps you can reduce the prices and give lesser quantity for those who cannot consume too mucn

A very poor experience. The signature ribs were very poor examples of bbq. Whist there was plenty of meat that easily came off the bone, it was dry and tasteless. No smokey flavour was evident and the bbq sauce appeared to only have been applied after cooking. To me this typifies poorly executed bbq. The garlic bread was literally a slice of white supermarket bread smeared with a negligible amount of garlic butter. I haven't experienced food this amateurish for a long long time.

Nice Joo Chiat neighbourhood spot to chill out in. Jalapenos poppers are a tasty nibble to start with. The St Louis port ribs are yum. BIg serving so share with friends or ask for a doggie bag. Refreshing Archipelago beers on tap.

Food was good although sometimes too much BBQ sauce on the meat so I ask for it on the side. Service is good and because it's a open restaurant it's quite cool. Don't go here if your on a diet as the chocolate brownie and choc chip caramel ice cream is pretty special

I have had a meal at Smokey's 2 previous times over a year ago, and each time was great food & service . With my family being from the US my wife requested Smokey's for mothers day in which our party of 7 included my wife, son age 13, son age 19 & his girl friend, daughter & her husband, and my self. Our reservation was @ 7pm in which we were seated fairly quickly, and order was taken fairly quickly as well. Shortly after ordering the waiter came to our table to explain that the fryer was down so they would be give us salads instead of French fries. (No problem) Then 15 minutes goes by and our party sees waiters delivering plates full of fries to tables around us some of which arrived well after our party did. So I asked the waiter if our table could get some fries as well. Waiter said he would try. Then 25-30 minutes goes by and I ask the waiter for a update on the food and he said he would check. He returned with fries and said the remainder of our food would be out in 20 minutes. At 8:45 our food finally arrived after see people served that were seated way after our party had ordered. Now the food was good but then to top off the night my sons girl friend had a piece of metal (like a staple from the packaging) in her burger. Luckily she did not bite on it to hard. We notified the waiter and she gave him the piece of metal. To end the story they tried to charge me extra for the plates of fries that were suppose to come with the meals, and then after some debate they removed the fries from the bill then offered a 10% discount ( which barely covers the cost of the meal with metal in it) on our almost $300 bill for the incontinence of waiting for 1 hour 45 minutes for our food to show up, and having metal in it.
