There is a new menu now, with many of the old favourites still in it. The food is just as delicious- the 4 of us especially liked the chunky bite sized beef in onions and garlic. The portions were generous, we ordered 4 dishes small size, but struggled to finish all the food and we were very full so had no more tummy space for desert.

There is this particular waitress with a damm lousy attitude. Ask for anything pls be ready to wait for a good 20-30 mins before you get your water. However food was great.

I booked for 7.15pm but arrived at 6.45pm and they let me in early. The food was delicious, I picked mainly non-spicy dishes like the stir fried beef in garlic and superior soy sauce, pork ribs in vinegar, deep fried cod in sweet wine sauce and the stir fried beans with mince meat. The only slightly spicy dish I picked was the chicken with cashew nuts. Every dish tasted very good, I ended up getting more white rice to go with it and to soak up the gravy especially of the beef and pork ribs. When the 6 of us finished eating, the staff let us sit and chat for quite a while, before we decided to order dessert, the dou hua was certainly silky, the liu sha pow had sha that didn’t really liu but was still tasty.

While we were the only occupied table at around 1845 hrs, the crowds started to build up thereafter. The restaurant staff gave good recommendations, since we wanted less spicy dishes.

Had the customary dou hua for an after meal dessert. Was light and tasty and one of the cheapest, most value for dollar items on the menu

Decent food quality, with good attention given by the staff. Order the spicy chicken and I like it. The winter melon soup is pleasing to the throat and good entree to the spicy mains.

Had the dou hua and glutinous rice ball with green tea. Not the best of desserts I ever had, but still passable. 15% off total bill as I am a Passion card member!

Had Dou Hua and dumplings for a light snack. Represents good value for your buck if you have a UOB credit card that gives 15% discount

Food was great and served hot. However, there was a lack of manpower. There were only 2 employees during lunch hours. Service could be improved

Had the 21st anniversary set lunch at $21 per pax. Received a $21 voucher but minimum spending of $100 required. So much to eat-prawn, sliced pork, soup, chicken and dessert. Good deal.

The service was ok. It was lunch time and i guess there was not enough staff. For i had to ask them to refill the tea instead lf them doing it automatically.

Si chuan dou hua made the right move in locating at tampines. There is a dearth of semi fine dining with exquisite cuisine that actually taste good too.

The tea costs $4 but is actually very fragrant and nice. The dim sum was reasonably priced although the variety for selection can be improved.

Tried the “Gui Ling Gao” dessert! It was cut up into bite sized cubes for easy chewing. Not expected but not bad. Smooth and not bitter

A pity some of the stuff were not available on the menu so we went with fried carrot cake and mochi with matcha fillings. Was pleasantly surprised

Passion fruit prawn was good. La zi ji (spicy popcorn chicken) was ok. The red bean pancake was lousy. Stale and reheated. Served after 3min of ordering.
