About Rochor Thai
Passionate to share his experiences in Thailand with the people of Singapore, chef and restaurateur Joel Ong opened Rochor Thai with a plan to showcase the cuisine’s true flavours, rather than the usual taste that has become associated with Southeast Asian food. Found just opposite Novena Church on Thomson Road, this popular restaurant offers options for catering, private parties, and simple casual dining. Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, Rochor Thai is the perfect place for an unforgettable meal in the heart of Novena.
Since 2012, Rochor Thai has been serving up some of Singapore’s best Southeast Asian specialities. Chef owner Joel Ong and Chef De Cuisine Aod are fanatical about the cuisine they serve, utilising only the best ingredients and seasonal produce whenever possible in their boldly flavoured creations. The Novena restaurant – found at Novena Regency on Thomson Road – is gorgeous with bold colours and lovely light fixtures throughout, and even features options for private hire with space for up to 60 seated guests!
The menu at Rochor Thai in Singapore’s Novena is packed with amazing options, from fresh salads and soups to vegetarian delights, stir-fried meats, seafood and delicious noodles. If you’re unsure of where to start, we recommend turning straight to the page with the signature dishes, where you’ll find amazing options like the Grilled Pork Collar, the Cabbage with Fish Sauce, the Drunkard’s Prawns, and the Orange Curry Fish Broth with your choice of whole fish or fish fillets. This is one popular Thai restaurant you don’t want to miss out on – book your table now!

impressive thai food! there's a slight twist (improvement) but it still tastes really good. signature cabbage is probably the best veggie on the menu, while the grilled pork collar is a must try as well. think most of the lunch items are great and value for money
Great food. Amazing wanton noodles. A must-try. Comes with Tom yum soup and Thai milk tea in a lunch set. A first of its kind here.
2nd time there. Good food, environment and service! Will definitely go again.
Nice food with nice staffs 👍🏻 Highly recommended! We visited them 3 times and ordered different dishes every time... so far none disappointed us !
Been there twice for lunch and once for dinner. The lunch sets are pretty value for money but the selection at the moment is quite limited. The pork collar is as good as the first time, and the khao kha moo was also quite good except that it could do with more collagen. The Thai milk tea that came along with the lunch set is value-add. Portions are ok for lunch sets but hope to see an expanded menu soon. Service is friendly.
Good food with good portions. The ambience is lovely and the staff are pretty friendly too. The best part is that the drinks (Thai Iced Milk Tea/Iced Lemongrass Drink) are of very good portions, not your normal coffeeshop size, but big mugs!
Great Thai food! Nice casual setting! Can get really busy so need to book in advance. We had the pork collar, tom yum soup, mixed vegetables and green curry chicken. All very good!
Food portion is for 1 person. If sharing, should order more dishes to share. As the restaurant is small, should reserve online to confirm a table.
Staff was accommodating even with the increase in guests from the original reservation. Service was prompt with value for money lunch sets. A variety of food choices for lunch sets.
We ordered the phad thai,Assam curry and cabbage.portion size are rather small.drinks are about $6 each-quite expensive.service is brisk with a lot of takeaway orders
