Weekly affair here. The area has a lot of gems and ri ri hong is certainly one of them!
Town go to Mala xiangguo place. Reasonable price for the portion
hardly get any better mala in this area which so near to my workplace
my regular mala place in CBD area, nice food must try
Mala go to place at CBD, best place to have your cravings fixed.
The ingredients were incredibly fresh, the broth was flavorful, and the dipping sauces had a great variety.
Very good very impressive food! I’m always happy to return and this is like my canteen .
Love their mala, always up to standards, highly recommended, do try.
Weekend overtime and came again to dine. So good I ate twice in 3 days. Generous portions!
Cheap and good malaxiangguo place in CBD! Queue can be long though so get reservation better
The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the sauce is flavourful. The atmosphere feels homey, and the staff is super welcoming
Sichuan in a bowl. Fiery, numbing, layered with star anise whispers. Mild still melts faces. Good

Customizable chaos. Shrimp, quail eggs, and a peppercorn buzz—left me sweating but obsessed
Spice euphoria! Chili-numb bliss with crispy lotus root + chewy tofu. Milk mandatory.
One of my lunch go to. You can select what you want, don’t have to worry about exorbitant prices.
Famous mala place which i think came from chiantown. Queue was fast and food was tasty
Great food and lovely service will be back for sure
Had it for lunch and was thinking about it again by dinner. That says it all. The mix of textures—from the crisp lotus root to the soft tofu—is what makes it so addictive
We ordered medium spice and it was just right—not too painful, but still made my nose run a bit. Loved the chewy noodles and crunchy vegetables. So satisfying
I’ve had mala at a lot of places, but this one stands out. The ingredients are always fresh, and they don’t drown everything in oil like some spots do. The peppercorn numbing was chef’s kiss
Tried it on a rainy day and it hit the spot like nothing else. Warm, spicy, and satisfying. The mala aroma lingered on my hands and clothes... in a good way
Love how I can pick exactly what I want, and they always cook it just right. The tofu skin and lotus root are my must-haves. The spice is punchy but not overwhelming. Comfort food at its best.
Malatang offers a bold, customisable hotpot experience with a wide variety of fresh ingredients and rich, numbing broths. Perfect for spice lovers craving a quick, flavourful, and satisfying meal.
very good value for $$$. each serving of vegetable is only $1, meat ranges from $2 onwards.
Great for a quick lunch. The mala soup was warming and full of depth. Loved the cabbage and fishball combo. Service was quick too.
Ordered medium spicy but it barely had any kick. Maybe the chef toned it down too much? Might give it another shot at high spice level.
Perfect balance of spice, numbness, and umami. The mix of vegetables, tofu, and beef was spot-on. Good ventilation inside too, which is rare!
If you love a fiery challenge, this place is for you. I tried the “da la” (extra spicy) and my mouth was on fire — in the best way.
I’ve been here many times and it never disappoints. Consistent flavor, friendly staff, and fresh ingredients. Highly recommend the enoki mushrooms and luncheon meat combo!
The spice was good, but I found the overall dish too salty. Might ask for less seasoning next time. Still worth a try if you love strong flavors.
A great variety of ingredients and generous portions. The numbing peppercorn flavor really hits the spot. Slightly oily, but that’s typical for mala.
The spice level was just right — not overwhelming but still made me break a sweat. Loved the crispy lotus root and tender beef slices. Will be back soon!
