The owners were really friendly and nice! Food was good too, special mention to the yummy savoury waffles that were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! (:

Food took more than 45 mins to come, when only 3 tables were fully seated. Ordered using Entertainer app and the waiter said we can order the Breakfast for Champions menu so we did. However the cashier mentioned Breakfast for Champions cannot be used for Entertainer users, very disappointing since we have to argue with the staff.

Quiet ambience, friendly and attentive staff. Good value for money due to the tie-up with The Entertainer App. It would be good to have more food choices.

Were there since 10.50am, 10min before the said opening time of 11am. Waited till 11.05am and there was still nobody there to even open the cafe. Then we left to go somewhere else. After our brunch and we walked past the cafe again, we saw that the cafe was open. Went into the cafe wanting to feedback to the staff that they were late to open the cafe, the manager still gave a bad attitude and argued that she came at 11.06am and she didn’t see us waiting outside. Hello, 11.06am is Already later than what you said your opening time was. Should at least just apologised or do some service recovery. Bad service attitude.

We ordered a chicken bleu and a mac and cheese and the food was much better than expected. Also got hot chocolate and hot matcha latte which both came with very well done latte art on top.

Lovely café with great drinks, my favourites would be their matcha latte, hot choc and a good cuppa coffee. Their kumara fries are worth a shot too for sharing with friends!

Went on a Saturday afternoon and it was slightly crowded. Food took a really long time to come and their eggs weren't done well on two dishes - scrambled eggs on Hearty Breakfast was too salty and the yolk on the Bacon Carbonara was fully cooked.

Good food, good vibes 🍔🍝🎶 the boss himself served us with a great attitude ! My family enjoyed the experience very much, location is a bit remote, well to its name.

Service was good. We had the broiche toast with ferrero ice cream. I like it! The broiche toast was very flavourful and crispy. We also had the truffle fries, but it is just average. Nothing soecial

Food was okay. Menu is interesting and drinks are quite unique but service was a little slower than we liked. We were not the only table to have to wait for our food. Cute place but could be more efficient.

Great ambience! Good for small groups' catch up and studying. Beer pints' prices are exceptionally cheap during Sundays! Good chill out place. Staff were very friendly as well.

Felt that it was kinda overpriced for the burgers and chicken bleu as the portion was not very substantial but the taste was OK. Maybe $12.90 would have been more reasonable. Also didn't like the dressing which came with the side salad. Was it strawberry jam? Good for a first try out of curiosity. Maybe will drop by to try out the coffee on a lazy afternoon one day.

Place is quite chill. Love the quiet ambience during weekdays. Their matcha latte is really not bad at all. Located slightly a little further than their rivals cafe but still within walkable distance.

Despite being the only customers in the shop, staff were not attentive to our needs and service was a major drawback. Don't see the need to have a service charge given that I had to approach the staff myself to take orders, make payment at the cashier, help myself to the water. Furthermore, I was ignored by one of the staff when I requested for my drink to be served. Food was only mediocre and not worth the price paid for. The truffle mac & cheese was a run-off-the-mill, barely had any truffle flavour and the pasta itself was rather dry. The top layer of baked cheese was a tad overcooked and burnt, without the characteristic melted gooey elastic cheese. The egg atop was just a normal sunny side up with a hardened solidified yolk, differing greatly from the sous vide egg I had chanced upon a few times on instagram features. That being said, the sweet potato fries was also rather limp and soggy, without the crisp factor. The only saving grace was the kind barista who offered another drink on the house after a long eternity wait for our drink order. Drinks here surprisingly fared better than the mains as I truly enjoyed the Cold matcha latte which came in a deconstructed version comprising of a scoop of matcha azuki ice-cream soaked in cold milk and a side of thick, earthy matcha shot. The reese hot chocolate was not too bad too, a lingering nutty peanut butter flavour amidst the chocolatey notes.

When I arrived at the cafe, they said they couldn't find my booking even though my reservation was confirmed. Luckily the place was empty so my friend and I still managed to find seats. The item I wanted to order was "sold out" even though it was only 1pm plus and there were so few people in the cafe. Food was so-so. Won't be coming back here as there are better options elsewhere in the area.

Ordered the chicken bleu and waffles with ice cream. The chicken bleu and waffle were yummy but was a bit taken aback when most of the ice cream were not available and many of those that were available was not in good condition (too soft). Nonetheless, I appreciate the honesty of the waitress who informed us before hand. We managed to order the two flavours that were cold enough to be served.

It was my very first time to visit the café, but it made a great first impression. You're not going to have a perfect day anywhere, but having spent almost 8 hours at Nook & Cranny yesterday gave me a good enough idea as to the kind of day I'll have there. They were busy when I arrived at 230 pm and as it was a literal nook and cranny (difficult to find), I missed the reservation I made for my party of 3. Once I placed my order, I received my coffee promptly. The fries took a while however, but they were worth it (Sweet potato fries!) . I think letting their customers know the approximate time to expect their food, might stop us from wondering if the order was even placed at all and ask to follow-up on it. The staff were polite, I would say I received a friendlier and more relaxed service towards the evening. But despite their busy-ness at lunchtime, there were only a few mishaps: as mentioned, the food took a while at times and we weren't sure if our orders were placed at all, then our server failed to tell us there wasn't any mashed potatoes in the duck dish and replaced it with pasta that had bacon without our knowledge but one of us does not eat portk. They took it back, replaced it without a fuss and the staff still showed us friendly faces. The fries and desserts were wonderful. I especially liked the attitude of the service team for the night shift as they smiled a lot and made you feel like a regular customer.

Loved that little balcony with the fairy lights; would have liked it to be better ventilated though as it got really warm after awhile. Food was great, would be back for the potato fries!

Food was good and good service as well. The portion of food was appropriate. Both the main courses and desserts were lovely. The place is nice and and cosy although it could do with a little of sound cladding.

Hidden in a quiet enclave in Thomson area, Nook & Cranny offers a decent range of breakfast and lunch options. The Portobello beef burger was very substantial, decked with a huge beef patty, bacon, ham, sunny side up egg in-between two big sesame seed buns. Delicious!
