On the website it was stated that there is a University Student Promotion. However, when I made payment and showed my student card, the cashier said that there was no such promotion. Furthermore, as I wanted to pay by card and I had no cash, I was further told that there was a minimum of $20 for card payments even though it wasn't mentioned anywhere. My experience was truly disappointing and infuriating.

Poor service attitude experienced here :( Food was tasty tough - I had the grilled pork (satay style) don, which was dummy :) Unlikely to return; many other nice eateries in Holland V yet to explore!

Unfortunately quite a lacklustre Aburi Wagyu Beef Don ($20++), with nothing much to shout about. There wasn't much char to the thin beef slices, & overall it was just lacking in flavour. The onsen egg was great but, rightfully, the beef should be the star of this dish, & that failed to live up to expectations. Thankfully I got this half-priced with Burpple Beyond, & perhaps I might give them another chance with their other Dons that you can use the 1-for-1 deal on. But hey, at least I enjoyed the sake that I ordered (not 1-for-1!) to finish off my meal. Fun fact: This didn't fill either of us up much, so we went for Dinner Round 2 down the road at Holland Village to use another Burpple Beyond deal. 😂 💳 Accepts credit cards 🌬 Air-conditioned seats available ☀ Al fresco seats available 🖥 Accepts reservations - I used Quandoo & clicked through ShopBack to get cashback

Nice food and ambience for a night out. Garlic fried rice and roasted swordfish were very good. Good deal on the one for one drinks.

Had grilled pork donburi. Grilled pork on skewers was awesome - tender and fragrant! Regretted not taking photos of the dish so that I could share about it with others... will be back!

Enjoyable place to be if you need a drink and some Japanese snacks. Service is good and it can get pretty crowded on weekends. So book in advance.

Quite the crowd on weekends, so be sure to book in advance. One of the better izakaya place in Holland Village with friends & colleagues.

Food was pretty decent and on Mondays they have 30% off for food. Happy hour drinks $35 for a bucket of five bottles. Staff service can be improved.

A crowded place after office hour. Service can be a little slow. A drinking hole with lots of appetisers to go with drinks. Selection of mostly Japanese drinks.

Ambience of the restaurant was great but food serve was too salty, especially the skewers. Chef need to pay attention on food serve to customers.

A nice place to have a relaxing meal with friends and family. The ongoing 30% promotion for food items before 7pm was good. Food-wise, the sashimi was a bit disappointing. Also the wagu beef and pork belly were only average. On the other hand, the chicken items, like soft bones, chicken tail, & mid-wings, were good.

Very good happy hour promo. Nice vibe of the restaurant and a decent drinking crowd. Food is pretty good, but was there more for drinks.
