Honguo’s signature dish is the “Cross Bridge Vermicelli” (過桥米线 ), which is one of the best-known dishes of Yunnan, a province in South-West China. Therefore, I ordered this for my girlfriend’s mother as celebrating Mother’s Day. It is accompanied by a bowl of noodles and at 15 other ingredients including mushroom, prawns, quail eggs, ham and vegetables. If you ordered All Cook Together, kitchen staff will just serve one big red bowl. Otherwise, you have to cook everything by yourself. Still, this huge portion could be shared between four of us and makes a rather comforting and filling meal.
Food was not bad for hotpot selection. My fav appetizer was the crispy silver fish. But even if reservation got to wait for awhile as the restaurant was crowded & packed.
