Good selection of buffet items, and the food was spaced out so that people don’t crowd around and cramp up the place. The seafood selection was pretty good and the items were fresh. A good selection of sweet items as well! Only small issue was that there was something about the staff not being able to make the coffee items “iced”, and we had to circumvent it by asking for a glass of ice to add it in ourselves. Odd but maybe miscommunication?

Surprised that this Hotel has no tie-up with any Banks for Discount, its my own fault for assuming there will be. Service was inconsistent though the Staff attending to our Table was trying very hard to keep asking me if I was happy with the service. Cold cuts were salty: Oysters, Crabs and Lobsters… probably from the brine they used to preserve but not throughly rinsed when presented at the buffet spread

Food was a nice spread but I was served a pot of tea that tasted like chilli oil …. After drinking half a pot, opened it and noticed that inside had an entire rim of chilli oil. They served me rubbish water after a nice meal! What bad hygiene !

Used to patronise this when they were Melt, I felt that the service was much better then. I was here to celebrate a birthday and had requested for a table at a private corner. If all places they placed me in the middle of the dining area at the fringe of an area where they were hosting a corporate event. While I understand sometimes such noise levels cannot be predicted, but at least place me somewhere closer to where I had requested. To make things worse, when gave this feedback, the assistant manager Alex Wong mentioned that it was my fault for not pointing this out when I was seated. How would the customers know who are the expected guests for the night and the corporate event only started after I started dining?! His attitude also seemed to show that he was not interested in making things better or taking in feedback as i was paying and leaving and was just hoping that we would give them another chance and patronise them again. Wait staff are now all very inexperienced and they served the surprise cake in the middle of the meal while we were still eating mains without being asked for it, ruining the day and moment for my friend celebrating the birthday. Never again..

The updated dining area was very pleasant and had an airy and open feel and vibe to it. Food and drinks selection was similar to the previous Melt Cafe. Overall, good and well prepared food. However, the oysters or some seafood may not have been that fresh as 3 of 11 of my party had the runs that evening or day after.

Sashimi was awesome. Service was great. (esp. topping up water and removing plates) Laksa so-so (was sweet version) supposed to be salty? Roast duck, abit dry. Gelato was good. Wednesday lunch no oyster. only for Sat and Sunday.

Ambience was good. Selection and choices of food were good too. However the weekend (Fri) pricing is a bit too much for the choices of food. The cold seafood section were limited which I expect more for that kind of pice.

Good food particularly the bbq meats which are cooked outside the main area. On the pricey side however so only worth it if you are a big eater.

Also, she present me with a delicious and wonderful cake for my birthday experience at Embu. The baked lobsters were not adequate for guests. I went to Q to collect 3 times but unable to get any because the servings were slow and limited. The snow crab too was limited. Not worth the spending!

Mentioned it was my wife birthday and the staff wrote a note on her paper. But there wasn't any complimentary cake given. Had to constantly signal to staff to clear the tables.
