Thinking about making a El Tardeo booking?
As the little sister of Singapore smash-hit Binomio, diners who know even just a little about Spanish cuisine may already have a good idea of what awaits them at El Tardeo. But we’re going to sing it from the rooftops, nonetheless. This is a stylish and worthy counterpart to the institution that is Binomio and the same winning formula has clearly been applied. A magnificent bar takes centre-stage and boasts an inventive menu full of quirky, Barcelona-inspired originals. The wines are delivered to Craig Road in Outram Park directly from the vineyards of Spain and the expert bartenders at El Tardeo will be happy to give the rundown. The only thing one really needs to get festivities underway after that is some top draw tapas.
As one of the best in Singapore, the tapas menu at El Tardeo is thoughtful and sophisticated. There are classics of Spanish gastronomy as well as contemporary refinements in the way pica pica, cold cuts, tostadas and croquetas. If you’re feeling meaty, why not opt for Iberian pork ribs or deep fried baby squids with allioli? The rack of lamb served with fresh spinach and a mushroom salad is also nothing short of dreamy. Ends things sweet with churros and chocolate, then sit back and relax at this Outram Park up and comer. Singapore, you’re going to love it.
