The grill fish is awesome! However, the staff took our order wrongly and we waited very long for them to get their attention. Probably because we are at a far corner. Yet, food is nice. And no phone network at that corner where we were seated at. Good thing for a bonding session I would say?

Service was fine, not bad though not very impressive. The food size was good enough but the grilled fish soup was not tasty. A bit disappointed since it is the signature dish of the restaurant.

Food is good but place feels rather warm in an aircon restaurant, as everyone is eating grilled fish. The lowest level of spice may also be too spicy for beginners.

Me and my friends love eating grilled fish. We always have a good experience at chong Qing grilled fish. Our personal favorite fish is the 口水鱼.

Good food and huge portions. The buffet is worth it because they cook on the spot but during peak hours the wait can be quite a while. Hope they can implement a free flow drink option too

Buffet worth it. Staffs are friendly, attentive and provide good service.

3rd visit for lunch buffet. Variety of food much lesser compared to dinner buffet but price is affordable. Service was a bit slow, probably due to a big table crowd of 15 over people ordering ahead of us. Rather noisy with big groups.

Didn’t get to be seated by 8pm even though I made a reservation at that time. And also they only allow you in once everyone in your group has arrived, which this was not stayed before making the reservation. However food is still awesome; food served at a good pace.

Mushroom and herb base was less savoury compared to the one I had in Serangoon Gardens.. Had buffet and the food generally is good except the tight timeline to finish within 90mins which kinda makes us rush to finish what we ordered..

This is my only third time visit Chong Qin, realisation their taste inconsistent. At Bugis the noodle place seperate, Chinatown place it together with the fish which take more time to warm the fish. Overall the taste still didn't disappoint us :)

The food is delicious and portion is big even if you order the buffet item. Presentation of the food is up to standard. Crowded with people.

Not bad, but environment can be more cooling. Song choices are not bad. Can have round tables to cater to larger groups so that food is more accessible.

All ala carte dishes were priced affordably and the waiters there are attentive in changing our plates. My family loved every dish and would like to come back again.

Fish is not well cooked. The mushroom fish taste soury. The starter on pork belly also isn’t well cooked. Still can see the red meat. 4 people ate and both my mum and I are having difficulty digesting it. Will not patronize this place anymore.

Excellent food and service. Fish is fresh. Ala carte prices a bit steep though. Go for buffet price if you are a big eater.
