Food and ambience was awesome like u are in a french bistrot in Paris. Had the beef cheeks and Dover sole, all I can say is both were equally well executed but very very impressed with the Dover sole! Kudos to the chef. He went ard asking how the food was and i couldn’t stop telling him how awesome it was to finally taste the Dover sole after seeing it on a movie.
Food was good, and the service was premium. Show'ed up 10 minutes before reso and wouldnt seat us - which I found a little frustrating.
Super friendly service staff that makes you feel at home immediately when you enter the restaurant. Food was fabulous especially the beef cheeks. Will come again
Overall we enjoyed our meal at Bistro Du Vin. We had the weekend 3 course set lunches and the food and service was very good.
I really enjoyed the braised beef cheek and the ambience. The lunch sets are great value for money. The portions are quite substantial. I couldn’t finish my entire meal and had to pack the remaining to go.
Another nice dinner to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Will always remember to suggest this place to my friends. Good food and nice place to be at.
The service was very slow. Three diners on next table got their main course served before us although they came later. We had to chase for our main course twice. My guest as a result of the delay, left without the coffee which was left unconsumed. I ordered a dessert but was told it was not available because a big table had wiped them out. Yet the folks in this table came after us. I was earlier told that i can order my dessert after my meal. For the price of the food and the service, as well as the ambiance, i am not getting value for money and feel dissatisfied.
The Lunch was so delicious and very comfortable to stay with my friend . I want to have a dinner with my family next time.
We have a group dinner for 20 pax during June 2017 in your sister restaurant La Strada. Everything was perfect. Too bad they are closed for renovation and will re-open in March. Alternatively, we have choose Bistro Du Vin. While the ambience is nice, the food quality is below expectation.
The food was hearty and great. Much thought and details were put in each dish. The rillettes and terrines were awesome. Ambience was good & had a homestyle feel.
Another good dining experience. Always busy whenever I go. Good food and good service.
Taken lunch in Bistro Du Vin. Experienced good french food. Service was excellent as well. Will recommend to others and will definitely come back again.
Special order of steak tartare which they gladly accommodated to, and called me to confirm. Great service, great food. Would definitely be back to this wonderful place!
excellent steak and bouillabaise. Lunch fixed price menu was excellent value and quality. Will definitely come back. Desserts also superb. Go, You won't be disappointed!
A cosy and friendly restaurant in Shaw Centre, Orchard. Waiters were very friendly. They have daily specials for both mains and entres. Had an enjoyable time there.
The team is happy with the food, and convenient location. However, it can get a bit too loud when the restaurant gets too full due to the restaurant set up.
Great Service and Food. Excellent experience leaving us wowed through the evening. I would recommend this place for a romantic dinner matched with fine wine.
Great selection of lovely French dishes supported by great staff service & superb French wine. A lovely dining experience. An authentic French bistro set in a side street in Singapore.Thank you
Authentic french cuisine in a "bistro" style. Don't think fine dining but rather earthy dishes that will stuff you well. Relaxed ambiance a la française. Tasty dishes inspired from several regions but with south west France accent. We keep on coming back.
Service was attentive and the lunch set menu was good value for money. Loved the foie gras appetizer. My wife and I enjoyed our meal at Bistro du Vin.
The beef steak was very tender and well done. The soup of the day- vegetable soup was excellent. But the buillabaisse soup was only average. The items are rather pricy compared to those charged buy other similar restaurants
Sat very close to another table. Diners were very loud and we could hardly hear ourselves. Not a pleasant experience. Lamb dish was not up to expectation. Creme brûlée was thankfully very good.
Very good ambience and service. Staff are very attentive and the restaurant is pretty quiet. One of the few perfect places for couple dinners on festive occasions.
fantastic meal, the foie gras is superb and the beef cheeks melth in your mouth. excellent service , finished with a nice dessert , creme burlee
Had a Christmas Eve lunch,,, hidden gem in Orchard, a fine bistro if you wish to enjoy company over Beaujolais and not be bothered with the anything else
Cosy and nice place. Staff were attentive. Would love to return. Hopefully next time they serve back the pork chop.
Service and ambience were excellent; food and wine were mostly good and value for money - stay to the tried and tested; the special we ordered was disappointing.
The service was excellent. Try the set linch menu, very good value for money. Would recommend the French Onion soup and the foie gras. A gem in the Serangoon Gardens area.
The food was ok, not especially good. Too salty, as some has said. Service was cold, I didn't feel any effort was made by the staff in providing a good dining experience for their customers. Most unlikely to return.
No elaborate food plating, just good wholesome French food at affordable price. Service was prompt with attentive staff. The only let down for the night was the duck confit which we felt was way too salty and oily. Otherwise, thumbs up for the rest.
Love the option of having the Chef’s pick of 3 course meal - every dish was a good surprise!
Great food and intelligent, TOP class service from Don and Darryl. All in all, a most enjoyable restaurant experience. Great to see people enjoying their work and excelling at customer service.
I enjoyed the good food menu offered with sufficient quantity. It is value for money. I love the bread served, so fresh each time. And the location is convenient.
We enjoyed the comfy ambience and good service. The beef cheek was really good but found the duck confit a little too salty for our liking.
Excellent service! We loved the duck confit, beef cheeks, ratatouille, and onion soup! The desserts were stellar and were the perfect ending to our dinner: I highly recommend the apple tart with caramel ice cream, chocolate fondant with pistachio ice cream, and creme brulee! :)
We liked the atmosphere and most importantly the food. We found the soups alittle lackluster, but the entrees and mains - the steaks and scallops were standout hits for us. Pricing is relatively wallet friendly by Les Amis Group standards, so we will definitely be coming back!
Nice ambience. Food was average. Although Bouillabaisse was packed with seafood, broth was lack of strong flavour. Duck confit was a bit too salty for my taste bud. Service was good.
Bistro du Vin offers some of the best French cuisine in Singapore, serving a tantalising collection of dishes that are suitable for casual dining and group gatherings.
No frills and prompt service. Waitress was friendly and efficient.
A cozy and authentic place ~ the bistro has a real charm and vibe. The food is divine. The staff are well trained and they understand the meaning of hospitality. I like how Philippe interacted with us and other customers. This is a place which sits itself above the standard of many restaurants in Singapore which can be fancy but soulless. Highly recommended.
Waiter was energetic and service was excellent. The food was excellent, especially the foie gras starter and the duck leg confit. Will return to try the other mains!
Was expecting a good value meal as usual. Surprised that the duck confeit is as salty as Hk smoked duck. The response after my feedback is even more surprising - a. It is usually salty b. After I reject that as common - feedback is done to the cook - ie. Noted (and no further explanation or pacifying or comments) Was it expected or I over expected?
I had a great time dinning at Bistro du vin-shaw house. Awesome French cuisine! Love the wine list selection. The duck confit and beef cheek stew main courses are a must to try !
Highly overrated. The only thing authentic French Parisian bistro was the decor. Food was awful. Smoked Duck Salad had no dressing and the lettuce looked like it had been cut many hours ago. Shabby. Ribeye steak was poor quality meat. Don’t expect such poor quality at these prices. The only saving grace were the French fries and the creme brûlée.
Awesome meal as always. A must visit every Christmas (or when you feel like it)! French onion soup, the duck confit, the 72% dark chocolate mousse ultra yum and are must orders!
good food, good service. authentic french cuisine. my family and i love it.
Normally interesting 3-item menu has become less exciting. Less than half of the items were available without upcharge resulting in a relatively expensive lunch if you choose anything outside the lowest cost options. Food was tasty and service was very good but the menu and pricing scheme don't encourage frequent visits.
It was our early Christmas Dinner. The Chef's 4 course meal was memorable with the chef coming out himself to ask our diet preferences and make wine recommendations. The passion for food really came out in the food and service. Bravo!
Good service and their staff do know what is on the specials board. Would love to be back again to try other items on their usual menu.
Good food, casual setting, right in center of Orchard. A bit pricey but something that I will go to once in a while. If I have to pick something French, they always come up as a top choice
