I can’t have spicy food, but wanted to try the local specials. After browsing the menu, it immediately became clear they also offer fusion dishes like a dry version of the bag ku teh Service was impeccable very friendly staff good value for money highly recommended for couples families as well as solo travellers.

We ordered buah keluak chicken with blue pea rice. Rice was uncooked and hard and cold and chicken wasn’t marinated well. Assam curry risotto was lackluster too. Best dish was only chicken satay. Hope they can improve

Baba chew’s food takes on a modernized twist to Peranakan cuisine. Overall, the flavor profiles are there so worth giving it a try. Ordered: Chap chye, chicken bites rojak, otah you tiao, kueh pie teh and beef cheek rendang

The signature items did not disappoint. Chendol was a hit. Waiting staff was very accommodating. They replaced burnt satays with no questions asked.

Their Peranakan options are not bad. Came here with The Entertainer app so at 50% discount, it’s quite worth the price. Nice decor also given the history of the area.

Kids meal was decent with reasonable pricing. crab Mantou was hard but the sauce was nice....

Ribeye steak was tough and not served hot. We didn’t like the Asian style Caesar salad. The people were lovely, the service was fine and the ambiance very clean and cute but after a cold breakfast a few days before I can’t recommend it.
