The Malayan Council - Esplanade

It was too noisy. The waiter was eager to take the plates even when we had still some left. That’s really rude. We feel we did not get a warm hearted welcome and treatment which was supposed to come with the price of the food.

I decided to have dinner to celebrate my wedding anniversary here and I didn’t make the wrong choice. We had a great time here and went home with a complimentary slice of cake, thank you for the great service.

Sadly the food was not as good as I remember the last time I was there. The chicken and mango dish - the chicken was clearly old frozen chicken and it had zero salt and had no flavour; the Hokkaido scallops also lacked taste and was over cooked. Even the brinjal was not well cooked and so we did not finish it. Yes, your desserts and drinks were good and the duck pasta in lemak thankfully was tasty but really, something is up if we had issues with 3/4 of the dishes.

The ambience was great, nice scenery when looking out of the window. The food were great but the beef Wellington was not what I heard from the review. The beef didn't melt in my mouth and the pastry didn't have the "crunchy" effect. Overall the the dinning was great. Would come back for other food in the menu.

Oveepriced for so so quality. Started to clean the place before we finished. Mot pleasant experience.

Staff were very helpful and food was quite nice especially the Buah Keluak Fried rice

Prompt service and friendly staff. Special mention to staff from Esplanade, Mr Umar whom helped me a lot. Upon realising that I've booked at wrong location, he assisted in securing a place at Bussorah Street (my intended location.) He even forwarded me with the menu as well, to ensure that I'll get my food during iftar!

Food was good though there was delay for the laksa. However, service recovery was quick in offering deep-fried soft-shelled crabs to us. Given complimentary ondeh2 cake with ice-cream.

Food was great, unique and a full bodied experience for the mains, smoked duck pasta and fried rice but for starters, truffle fries, a complete disappointment for the price. Portion was good. Service wasnt attentive and the staffs were caught up doing their own things. In addition to that, when one of the staff was asking our opinion of the food, he could have atleast bent down slightly like most service staffs would do considering that he’s already very tall and we were seated so we were talking to his stomach… For the exorbitant price, it is expected to provide a certain degree of exceptional service. Atmosphere was alright, music choice not the best. Overall experience could have been better. They provided us complimentary desserts to dine in and an additional for take-out. A gesture we appreciated.

The food is more on a fusion kind which is not quite suitable for my taste bud as I expected an more authentic experience. However, the service from the staff is definitely commendable

Visited on Valentine's Day and restaurant was severely understaffed. They forgot about our beef wellington and we waited close to 45 mins for it, no apology was given. Will not recommend!

They have a great taste and portion. Only if the eggplant they can cut into small portions will be awesome. They did not disappoint us with free cakes when check out!

TMC never fails me. All the outlets have 5 star service. Kudos to the boss to ensure all has same service standards special thks to Alexis for making our visit a pleasant one

Was there to celebrate Brithday. Was surprised when they actually offered me a birthday cake for free. Food was really tasty too especially the Hamburger and Smoked duck sphagetti

Beautiful restaurant for a fancy dinner with your loved one! Gorgeous food, pleasant staff and they're always so generous with their desserts! Highly recommend and I would definitely come again!

Great experience....family friendly restaurant. Excellent food and presentation of food.....experienced and friendly waiters n waitresses. Quality n value for money. Satisfied. Food look like small portion but believe me they are fulfilling even for children's menu.

The food quality at this outlet seem to be better than the one at Burrosah. Most of the dishes we ordered tasted good.

Restaurant took note of my requests for lighter utensils as well as wider aisle space. Chef also acceeded to my request to cut my dish into smaller pieces.

Orders taken yet served the last dish after everyone completed meal.Additional ordered drk taken but not served,thnks to a male staff(malay)mention abt the crossaint and served us a few(kids we so excited n loved it).Overall all tummy fulled with delicious meal.Thumbsup👍😊

Good quality food and fantastic service (so much better and improved from a previous visit). The wagyu striploin was just right and the ondeh2 cake was to die-for.

Food was pretty average.. my rice for my risotto was hard. Most of my guests did not even finish their food. And one of my guests waited so long for his food while some of us have ended our meal when his came.

The table was a little bit unstable while eating. Another feedback, the croissant served, it will be good if it was heated up rather than served cold.

First time dining in at this outlet. love the ambience, also because we came after the lunch crowd. the squid ink pasta was delectable. gave us complimentary cake to-go after the meal. Will surely come back again!

Booked a reservation for my husband's birthday dinner. The staffs were very accommodating and polite. The food was fantastic. Smoked duck masak lemak? Amazing. The ambience was nice. I will definitely come back!
