Kuro Maguro restaurant

Tried the Tempura this time which was very good and reasonably priced. The sushi and sashimi are still very good quality, as usual. The tables assigned this visit was a little smaller for 4.

Always good to eat here especially with the discount on Sunday with Gold membership. Premium cuts are nicer and especially with the real ground wasabi rather than the mass market type.

My friends and I enjoyed our meal. Everything is delicious and fresh.

I am a regular customer. Great food, value for money, great service and clean environment. Just found out that I can book via Quandoo. Luckily I booked because these few days there is a Japan Travel Fair just at its doorstep and those who did not book could not get a seat!

The maguro is consistently fresh. The space is quite narrow, so bar seating or outdoor tables are preferable.

Kuro Maguro serves up fresh fishes however over time, the value to price ratio has been decreasing. Ordered the premium tuna bowl and some pieces of fish were cut so small that it’s like half pieces. No wonder during lunchtime, it was less than 30% full. This place used to be packed every day during linch

Had aburi toro .. it was delicious. This is our favourite item. Aburi wagyu don seemed to have fewer slices of beef this time ??

I was the 1st customer in the restaurant as I had arrived around 1145am. My reservation was for 2 pax at 12pm for Indoor sitting. The server insisted to put me at the counter sitting, even thought all the tables were still empty.

Sashimi is good and fresh. Reasonable portions for price. Will go again!
