Overall a pleasant experience at Bistro Du Vin. The staff were all very welcoming, friendly & attentive, helping to refill our water whenever it’s running low. In terms of food quality, I have to say that it’s falling slightly short of my personal expectations as I went there with high expectation after reading the reviews; especially at the price point that they are charging.

One of your waiter accidentally broke a plate behind my friends table where we were sitting at and he did not even apologize to us at all luckily the broken pieces from the plate never fly n cut my friends. And when my friend were making payments the cashier did not gave her the receipt and she have to request for it then it was given to her. Very poor service n also your foods taste normal only nothing fantastic at all, sorry to said that.

I love the aroma of my Joseph Cattin Gewürztraminer Alsace Grand Cru white wine of tropical fruits and the long-lasting fresh finish taste. A good recommendation for my liking. We enjoyed all the food we ordered. We started with the delicate chewy Escargots and the cheese added richness and mouthfeel to the French Onion soups. We shared our mains, the Duck Confit and the Pork Belly Stew. I personally like the Pork Belly Stew a lot more. We all mentioned that it looked like a home cook dish when presented. We all loved the fact that all the ingredients looked so delicious when presented and they all melted in our mouths, especially the pork belly tasted really tender and flavorful...we ended with the signature Grand Marnier souffle that was like eating a cloud that melted in your mouth.

I love the ambience. I think it’s suitable for date night

service was excellent, onion soup and apricot tart was a lil' too sweet for my palate. Coffee was mediocre, most likely extracted from some low end coffee machine.. The duck confit was pretty decent, in all, still of the better french restaurants in the vicinity.

Dined in Bustro du vin few years ago. Portion of food might be more before as compared to now. Beef cheeks has always been our favourite dish. Overall experience was pleasant.

Both lunch and dinner are good! Not fancy but not too casual.

We used to go to Bistro du Vin every two months or so, but haven’t been back for over 15 years now. This last visit shows why. Service is the best part of BdV - attentive even if not pro-active. The food is flavourful, but ingredients are not high-quality. Mussels are tiny, the fish in my bouillabaisse is not fresh, and portions are not generous . More importantly, the bouillabaisse was more a fish stew than a bouillabaisse! In France and evrn in Paris, for the same price, you can dine at a 1-Michelin-star restaurant. So, we will not go back for another very long time, if ever.

I am a big fan of their duck confit but wanted to try something else on their menu. Went for the steak, am not convinced. I like my steak thickly cut and juicy, here it was too thin and too far.

Another visit to BdV Had their terrine of foie gras, followed by the duck confit. Both very tasty and recommendable I will be back :)
