Pork was just excellent and chicken was the less savoury option but oh just as satisfying! Service was prompt and pleasant. I wouldnt order the coconut cream again
Great food with good varieties at reasonable price. Casual setting good for dining at any time. Will definitely go back again and recommend to friends.
Good quality, tasty French food, wide selection of well priced wines from France and excellent service. Staff are flexible and extended our time there as the restaurant tends to close rather early at 2.30 ish.
The service was efficient and effective but not particularly personable or friendly as compared with the BDV in Zion road. The beef cheeks were excellent but the pork shoulder was over charred and had so much mustard that the flavour of the meat was lost. BDV remains one of our favourite places to dine.
We had a wonderful lunch there. The portions are just right and the champagne was chilled just right. Nice ambience and great staff. The place is a bit cramped so I would go during a not-so-busy time
Service is good. Duck confit is a bit dry and hard. Lamb shank is tender. The scallops are nicely done with the seaweed butter sauce but the entree dish is rather pricey. Restaurant is generous with its bread.
Dined with my family of 4. Servers were extremely hospitable and obliging. Ordered the lamb shank and Iberico pork. Waiting time was quite reasonable and food was delicious. Had the soufflé which was a bit too strong on alcohol but texture was spot on.
Great food and ambience. love the duck confit and souffle. They have an impressive wine list, even by the glass too! BYOB is only 30$++
Excellent food, ambience and service. Pretty much enjoyed everything here during this festive period. The foie gras tazte really good and would recommend this dish.
Food was ok-ish, for that price would expect better. Ambience below par. Certainly didn't expect to listen to Drake and Lady Gaga while paying SGD250+ for dinner. Also, someone thought its good idea to hand-out whistles and other noise making devices so drunk guests can annoy everyone else 4hours before new year. Service is helpful, but missed to warn us on the quantity and we ended up with lots of food wastage. Definitely will not go back.
the food and ambiance is good, coupled with good service from the staffs. Will recommend friends to go and will go back to the same place again.
Excellent value for money set lunches, reliably good food. Yummy!
Bistro du vin at the Shaw Centre the staff are friendly and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Food was tasty and would go back there again.
Pure atmosphere, bad service, high prices for such cafe level, the quality and taste of food is not really good.
The meal was delicious, service could have been better (it took a while to prepare the food and it wasn't easy to get a hold of the waiters) but overall since it was just a leisurely dinner with friends, it was a good experience
For the price you pay, you get a pretty good portion for the food and it's nice. Ambience is nice and staff good. Overall highly recommended.
Good atmosphere and food....love the French onion soup and the desserts! Lunch deal is good value as well. As the place is crowded, suggest to make reservation.
Good food, service was prompt. Can be a bit expensive if you order items with supplements. Must have the dessert especially the apple tart. Only con was the mix up when serving bday dessert.
the service is good. Food taste reasonable. the foie gras was tender and melts in your mouth. the beef cheek is satisfactory. overall a decent dinner.
Bad services and food are not up to standard ! The waiters no smile on their faces, when we left the table no body come up to say thank you and open the door for us.
We was there for lunch on Sunday, as usual, their food was excellent and the service was great too. We will definitely recommend our friends to go dine in this restaurant.
Set lunch was a deal and the food served were very good. Service was good though slightly slow due to the large lunch crowd. Definitely worth visiting again.
Simple set-up with hearty good food. The short ribs and fish were good.
Food was average for the price paid. Wished it had more variety. Likewise, service was also average. Choose the window seats. Book before doing as there was a crowd during weekend lunch.
Food is good. Non-alcohol drinks are not so much. Service is good though. Price is also reasonable. Overall, the experience was quiet pleasant. I would recommend this restaurant.
Excellent service and compliments to the chef. The french onion soup is the best my family has had, even better than any we've had in france! We ordered the Le Porc Iberique, beef cheek and lamb shank which were all delectable. The potatoes that accompanied the lamb shank were cooked to perfection - creamy and tasty. The young waiter who attended to us was polite & gave brilliant recommendations. We tried the egg soufflé & truffle velout which was light and delicious, upon his suggestion. While we were very full, we made room for the dessert soufflé which is not to be missed. Be prepared to wait 20mins, but we assure you that it's well worth it. This restaurant is a gem, and we look forward to returning for our next family gathering.
All meals were great! Service was also fine with us. Thank you for giving us nice time. We will recommend this Bistro with our friends.
Food is good! Prices are reasonable as well, service is not bad. Tucked in a quiet corner of Orchard road, it is a nice place to have a good meal with good friends.
Bistro du Vin at Shaw Centre - the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and great tasting food. Would definitely recommend other people to go there
Service is attentive; ambience is comfortable: food are good beside the foi gras appetister is abit oily and duck confit is abit dry: will go for set lunch next time:)
Waiters seem to be very busy even though restaurant only was 2/3 full. Need to constantly catch their attention to get some service. The lunch menu looks like very good value for money so will try another time.
Had the set lunch menu and food was great! Service could be a bit more warm and welcoming. Definitely would visit again. Recommended if you want some nice french fare at a affordable price.
One of the few place in Singapore where you can eat awesome French at very reasonable prices and the staff are excellent. We will certainly go again!!
Good food and friendly service. We asked a couple of questions on how the food was done and the waiter was very patient when he explained it to us and went on to recommend a couple of dishes. We ordered our food on his recommendations and the food was indeed very good. Thank you! We will certainly return again.
Nice ambience; friendly staff and great food - we ordered the cassoulet for our main - highly recommended
Duck confit was nice, but it was too dry, I thought more sauce would be better. Serving is just nice, not filling though. Should had ordered more. The guy who served us, not in uniform, was not polite, Thought he had a long day, thats why.
The food took a little long but it was worth the wait! Especially loved the pork dish that we ordered and the bread basket. Thanks for the awesome experience!
Service was prompt. The set lunch menu was really worth the money. The restaurant was full and crowded for a Tuesday lunch. Do make reservation.
everything O.K. taste are good. I will using for next time. very authentic open air . we are Japanese , we interesting for other menu. but we want to try to fish dish.
Celebrated our anniversary. Excellent set lunch as always. Sauce for duck confit was slightly thin. But mashed parsnips more than made up for it.
The service was average; staff were reluctantly friendly and only friendly in return of me being friendly. Scallops with seaweed butter was very tasty but slightly undercooked. And my steak (steak frites) was too salty.
Duck confit is very tender and skin crispy! Probably the best french onion soup in town; this is coming from a non onion lover like me.
the location was convenient, the food the duck leg was alright three course lunch together with coffee or tea i would say price is reasonable.
Crammed searing was a drag on the lunch experience. The promo set was obviously smaller than the set at normal price. The choc tart was nice but came stone hard cold...
Always perfect from service to food to everything!! Bistro du vin Never dissapoints!!
Service was prompt; food was good; corkage reasonable and price for the meal was also reasonable . A little noisy at times but tolerable. General ambiance was good; almost like a traditional French bistro.
A nice Bistro with great ambience. Frioe Gras and Onion soup was delicious and met my expectation. I have made another booking again this month for a birthday celebration with my friends. Service was faultless
Food was delicious and service was quick but impatient. As my partner was late, they served me bread even when I said no when asked while waiting. The bread was left on the table to turn cold and there were flies in the restaurant which made it an even worse idea of serving up the bread.
The ambience is cozy and relaxing. The dish we chose were all satisfactory and the Lamp shank was so tender. We can come back again. Price also decent.
The ambiance was great and we enjoyed the food even more! Overall, it was a great experience and will visit Bistro Du Vin again with my friends.
