Great Food, Great Ambiance, Slightly Steep Pricing but totally worth it !

seasonal menu for our visit last Wednesday, still good but it was too crowded during lunch for us to fully experience a laid back bistro ambience. Otherwise it’s still our go to place for French bistro fare.

Had a 630pm reservation for a group of 12 & we showed up about 20 minutes early, but luckily they were able to seat us after a short wait outside while they got ready. There was a little bit of a wait for some to get our meals, since some ordered starters n others didn't, but once the food showed up for everyone, it was universally enjoyed. Good vibe at the location, the waitstaff aren't overly in-your-face, but available if you need them.

One of my fav place to go - food is, as always, delicious and wines are reasonably priced. Mr Pau is as usual attentive and welcoming, always good to see that familiar face.

The service staff was prompt and friendly. Food wise, standards seems to have dropped. But it's still decent. Overall good experience.

The host was very warm and accommodating. We felt well-looked after. We had the cote de boeuf and it was cooked beautifully. It was quite a lovely dinner with my family.

Fish soup as entry was very nice. If have chance , would like to go once again.

Excellent service. Baked Mont d'or was very good. Scallops were fresh but escargot were normal. Mushroom risotto was also excellent.

Brought my friend here to celebrate her birthday in advance. The ambience was good. The waiter was enthusiastic when giving recommendations and help us out when we could not reach a decision amongst ourselves. The price was a bit steep for me but the food was not bad and overall service was good. At the end, the restaurant even prepared a dessert (i think it was creme brûlée?) for us due to the fact that we informed them that we were here to celebrate the joyous birthday occasion. We left the restaurant feeling happy.

Splendid service! BDV did it again. Loved the beef bourguinon

I think this was the only time I felt disappointed by BDV. There was a piece of small metallic sponge in the ramekin of the soufflé. This is such a shame, the food and service were great until the desserts. The service recovery was prompt as well, we received a free change and waiver of desserts. I know it’s an one off event but I’m going to hold my next visit until a later date. Until then keep up the good work and I hope to see a better service when I return
