Quality and professionalism are the name of the game at Yam’s Kitchen, a high-quality Asian eatery on the outskirts of the downtown area of Singapore in Pasir Ris. The brainchild of Kelvin Yam, an award-winning chef, Yam’s Kitchen serves a wide variety of dishes, from Chinese favourites to Singapore specialities and a huge range of seafood. Give them a visit at their downtown east location on Pasir Ris Close – just remember to book your table first!
Food is good with a wide selection but the service is so so. Took some time to get the attention of the waiter and was unfriendly
Rojak was good. Other signatures like the fish tails were ok. However, only 1 small pot of Chinese tea which barely served 5 was given to our table of 10 pax. Also, we were told that there would be 11 pcs of prawns and chicken wings for a large serving but ended up having only 10. When we checked with the waitress, she said that the waitress who took the order told us wrongly. There should only be 10 prawns instead of 11. As for the chicken wings, the 'kitchen' made a mistake and we had our 'missing' piece back. Yam's Kitchen needs to work on its arithmetic.
at the restaurant yesterday, the staff told us that we have no reservation despite I receive phione call and email on the confirmation of our reservation. Overall excellent for updating the customer of booking. U may highlight to the restaurant.
Kelvin Yam is a man with a vision. His dream was to bring zi char, the iconic Asian comfort food of Singapore, out of the hawker centres and into a stylish and sophisticated new audience. The result is Yam’s Kitchen, a Pasir Ris restaurant with a reputation for quality and affordability: exactly what you would expect from such a well-garlanded chef as Mr Yam. Head down to Pasir Ris Close – right by Changi Airport and Wild Wet Waterpark – for a family meal to remember.
The menu at Yam’s Kitchen is filled with the hawker centre classics and Asian family favourites.
