Service crew were friendly and attentive. The restaurant was spacious and bright. It was not crowded at 1pm. Our food delivery was very fast. Approximately within 8 min after ordering. Food tasted alright. However the sashimi was at room temperature. There was a lot of bones in Gindara!

Food is nice although seatings for couples are quite packed tightly which made the dining experience not as pleasant as those who got a bigger table. Food are great but the matcha was really bad though.

It's a repeat visit for me as I really like the food in this restaurant. Compared to my visit in June, it was less crowded and noisy this time, so bonus points for that. The waitresses were very friendly and attentive. The food came quickly, and as always, the katsu did not disappoint. The only tiny issue that bothered me was how close the tables were arranged. We could hear the conversations on the tables either side of us, and I'm sure they could hear what we were talking about as well.

still the place to be for great tonkatsu! ;) I went lean today and got their hire katsu set - 3 thick, almost round, pieces of nicely battered and fried pork fillet; with the usual sides. yummy! no fats, for once lol

The food here is always great. I visit this restaurant quite regularly due to its food quality and prices are not exhorbitant.

My go-to item is the cheesy katsu and I love that the veg is free-flow. Much better than Ma Maison! Service is a hit or miss here, sometimes you have very friendly attentive staff while others are not that great.

Delicious meal with generous portions. We were seated promptly on arrival, and given it was a Saturday, it was pretty crowded. The noise levels in the restaurant made conversation difficult at first, as there were many families with kids around. The location was interesting, embedded inside a departmental store. We found it tricky to locate. Food-wise, the menu is more extensive than their Takashimaya outlet. The food was good quality, the meat was fresh. Although they offer free refills of the cabbage slaw, we were too full to have any top ups.

The restaurant is spacious. The food is satisfactory but not the best tonkatsu I have tasted. The pork loin is on the dry side, not as tender as I expected. The service staff is not as friendly, in fact rather abrupt and clumsy.

Service was prompt but nothing special to make the visit to the restaurant memorable. Food was average.

Not too crowded and the food is really good. Ordered the salmon set and I absolutely enjoyed it. However, service can be abit too slow (they seem understaffed), and the portion seemed to have reduced in size too.

The waitresses were very hesitant with their service and rarely smiled.

Restaurant was busy when we were there for dinner. We enjoyed the food.

Tried premium UK pork today via their Dingley Dell rosu katsu set, which is priced at 28++ Very tender pork deep fried in light batter that's crispy :) Albeit with excessive amount of visible fat in the meat! Sides comprising cabbage, miso soup, takuan (i.e. yellow pickled radish) and jelly fish were all yummy as well. Freshly grounded sesame added a nice touch to the katsu sauce. Definitely a hearty meal of real tonkatsu ;)

My go to tonkatsu restaurant in Singapore. Good quality and wide range of dishes. Service is great too.
