Portion is on a smaller side with their lunch menu, although the taste are quite nice!
Great service and food. Pretty empty which was surprising. Will come again.
Always enjoy coming here. Great service and I enjoy the Asian fusion they serve.
Had the beef rice bowl and the Indonesian mee Goreng; staff also generously gave us complimentary dumplings
Great food and service, manager again gave us some free sides
Sampan does amazing gin cocktails- if you're a fan of GnTs, then this is the place to go! With outdoor seating at Boat Quay, this seems like a good place to unwind. Outside of their gin cocktails, I also tried a mango tequila cocktail which had a hint of chilli with every sip- that was hands down one of my favourite drinks. Although they don't have an extensive food menu, their pot sticker dumplings and Dou Miao is really worth the try.
Lovely place, indoor seating is air-conditioned but still gives a great view of the Singapore river and CBD
Nice food, nice atmosphere, and very good service from a young lady. Had a great Friday night there and will be back again.
Tried the pork in lettuce wraps and the beef rendang, on top of our individual rice bowls, food was great! Though rice bowls in lunch sets were more affordable
The lunch sets here are really affordable at $9.90 each
I have to admit I always enjoy coming here. Not the most fancy of places but I like the fusion food here at really reasonable prices and the staff are always Friendly and efficient.
Tried the babi ponteh rice bowl this time around and loved it
The portion is like fine dining while the taste is just mediocre.
Interesting Asian fusion place that has great vibes and affordable set lunches
Food was good, will be back to try the other food items on their set lunch menu!
I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the food at lunch with a client. Great value for money and wonderful service.
Fantastic experience, as always – enjoying great drinks and food by the river is a perfect way to wrap up a week. The staff also remembered me from my previous visit (over a month ago), which was a really nice touch!
We ordered their scallops and 2 large plates. They were good but we thought that the portion was quite little for 2 persons. The outdoor seating has very nice view but it was very warm due to Singapore’s weather. The outdoor seating arrangement was not ideal as the arrangement was too close to the patrons from the Japanese restaurant.
I saw some good review on social media, so I decided to choose The Sampan for celebrating my friend's Birthday.
A wonderful menu of little tapas. Highly recommended and right on the waterfront
Appetisers and starters were pretty good but the mains (soba) was alright.
I'd heard good things about The Sampan before getting there, but all expectations were exceeded the entire evening. It started with the service, which was polite, efficient, and helpful. The drinks were spectacular – especially their selection of G&Ts – and quite reasonably priced. The riverside location makes it a great place to enjoy drinks with a view. I wholly recommend it, and can't wait to go back!
