The National University of Singapore Society offers fantastic facilities, activities, amenities, and events for its graduate club members. Among them is The Bistro, a simply named eatery located in the impressive Suntec City Guild House in the Downtown Core’s Marina Centre. Suntec City, along Temasek Boulevard, once claimed to house the world’s largest fountain, before the Guinness Book of Records withdrew the biggest fountain category; but now at least it hosts The Bistro, where you can enjoy superlative seafood and weekend BBQs, a glass of wine or beer, al fresco on the terrace.
Tuck into generous Western and Asian set lunches like you used to when you were young and yet to graduate at the National University of Singapore Society’s eatery The Bistro. Conveniently located in Suntec City along Temasek Boulevard, in the Marina Center area of the Downtown Core, this is a great spot for Singapore’s graduates to meet up for chit chat over tapas (available at the bar from 3pm Mondays to Fridays) or to bring their young families for a simple meal. Watch out for the ever-changing promotions!
The portions of local Singapore dishes are generous at Temasek Boulevard’s The Bistro, with specialties like Hokkien prawn mee, fried mee suah, Hainanese pork chops, and fish bee hoon soup all available at great prices. Guild members do of course get a discount, but members of the public can dine in NUSS’s Suntec City Guild House in the Marina Centre/Downtown Core area as well, as long as they respect the rules and refrain from wearing slippers or flip flops and adopt smart casual during the week – but don’t fret, you can relax a little on the weekends!
Good seating. Great service. Good views. The prime rib was amazing. Recommended for all small and large, dates, corporate and family gatherings for lunches and dinners.
Good service, ambience and nice food. Highly recommended for all occasion
Good drinks. Good food. Good service. Comfort food for both me and my Wife!
This venue has a nice ambiance and service staff are attentive and polite. Great place for family and business gathering alike. Food price is reasonable.
Good ambience, good service and good food. Gave my friend from Ipoh a treat at the Bistro last Thursday. The steak we ordered was cooked to perfection and the free flow salad that accompanied the set dinner offered generous selection of quality vegetable, meat and cheese. Staff were polite and efficient and we enjoyed our dinner very much.
The Bistro has a great view facing the fountain of wealth. Food is awesomely tasty and the pricing is somewhat below a good restaurant price. Good value for money. Staff there is very friendly and has a great customer focused personality. Overall, had a wonderful lunch there!
It's a good place for lunch. The Ribeye is pretty decent, and in all the time's I've eaten it, I've only had ONE bad steak (well, actually TWO since my dining companion also had a tough one). Service is pretty decent. The hostess offered us coffee to make up for it. The bad news is, the coffee never came! Hahaha! Overall, pretty decent.
Good food and excellent and polite service staff. Only that when sitting on the narrow stretch by the glass windows it is not easy to get the attention of the service staff who are busy in the main serving area.
Food was very good. We had steak /lambchop combination. Tender. Service was good and staff was kind to inform us that food was more than adequate when we wanted to order more food. Good thing we did not over order.
detecting some drop in quality of the steak in the set. hope it was a temporary inconsistency. one colleague had to wait for a rather long time before her main was served when she didn't have any appetiser/soup.
