Food presentation is good, sashimi was good but i recommend going for the non sashimi dishes as those really stand out and were outstanding (i.e. soup for 2 ppl or the best set)
Ryu’s has a very classic ambience with relatively good food to chill out with friends or family (but not quite suitable for the little ones below 10 yo).
The ambience was good and food was tasty. The Siberian pork is especially recommended. However, the Japanese rice at $5++ a bowl was really pricey. Overall, we enjoyed our first visit there.
Service was top notch at this restaurant. Both the servers were attentive and took prompt in clearing the dishes. Food was good and fresh. Took the Omakase set and swapped the Iberico pork for the A5 Wagyu option. No regrets. Only downside was that this restaurant is located just opposite a bar, and the loud laughter together with the high ceilings, made conversation abit difficult.
Nice tendon set lunch at $25 ......great customer service...... very quiet for a Sat lunch. We are the only customer throughout the whole meal...... suitable for small group dinning.
Our group of 4 had lunch there on a Sunday, and getting a table was a breeze. Chilled terry towels were proffered as soon as we were seated and made for a pleasant start to a delightful meal. We had the Christmas special set for 2 and the Iberian pork set for 2. Finished every morsel. Service and food presentation were top-notch.
Ordered the set for 2. Very intricate and appealing presentation for each course and personally, the visual experience was more rewarding than the food itself
The restaurant was maintaining the high standard of quality foods and services. This is one of the good place for dining with family members and friends.
Had the omakase meal. Its a good experience. The iberico pork ribs was really tender, the meat would jus peel itself off the bone. Worth it. Will definitely return in future.
Turns out as a Really interesting place, the findings are way exceeding my expectation. Will come back, definitely. Attracted by it's beautiful logo when I ran into it, but I had another plan that day. Since then it's been sticking in my head. Shortly, lovely service, nice dishes, elegant ambiance. Now I am guessing how amazing it would be - even further- when I come next time.
The service is pretty slow. The service staff is very well mannered and polite. Not sure if it is the kitchen slow or busy though. Overall good place for dining.
Great staff that made us feel so welcomed, great Japanese food spread (of exquisite quality and great thought) - thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We will definitely be back for more
Great ambience and even better food. Chefs and staff were friendly and patient in their recommendation of food and sake. Will definitely be back again
We had a great time at Ryu's. The service was impeccable, evidenced by the prompt refilling of warm water and patient explanation of the dishes. The tempura was fresh and crisp; the Iberico pork tender and delicious; the broth light and sweet; the udon chewy and texture-rich. It is a little pricey (under $42 per pax for relatively substantial mains), but would definitely go back again for the good quality food and service!
Overall pricing is relatively expensive. There are barachirashi sets that are more worth the money elsewhere. Choice of food is limited. Not likely to return.
It was a great experience. The waitress even explained to us the details of each food. The chef or boss taught me how to wrap a sushi.
Service was good. We liked the okamochi box as the chirashi was good. We ordered the signature set for 2. It includes a tsumami tree and tempura as well.
good ambience and service! well explanation of food being served but is possible, explain what are the way to consume as well. that will be best!
We felt that the food quality was mixed (some items were okay and some tasted a little off) and rather poor value for the money. The service was also below average. With so many other choices for Japanese food, I cannot see us returning.
Good food at reasonable pricing for the promos. Great service staff and willing to accommodate my requests. Will definitely be back to try the other items.
Very nice authentic japanese food. Very nice environment with nice staff
One of the best Japanese meals we've had. We went for the Omakase and were not disappointed by any dish. The quality and inspiration of each dish was great.
Food was really good. Despite not eating raw fish, i ordered their set box meal ans was highly impressed with the quality of food. Service was excellent also. Should try their sake..it was good..even the chef came out with some tasty pastries for us to try.
Quality of the food is good and they clearly take alot of care with ingredients, and how the food is served as well. Enjoyed my meals there on both occasions- hospitable chef and staff.
