Food was excellent and service above and beyond - absolutely aiming to please. A quaint setting, relaxed dinner and a lovely experience. We really enjoyed the high quality meal coupled with the very relaxed atmosphere.

Great food, great service, great prices, great atmosphere! They've got it just right here! Loved the pork belly and the beef Wellington. Always made to feel welcome

Like the ambience and staff is friendly. However, it can be pretty hot without aircon and food was average.

Good food, slightly over priced though. Would be great to have some more vegetarian options. Nice ambience, reasonably efficient & friendly staff. Would go again

Food ok, was missing flavour. Not very flexible in making changes in their menu. And service could be improved, waitress needed assistance when taking our order and later was handed the wrong bill.

A nice cosy cafe but it can get rather hot since the entire area is open. Food was decent but portions were small given the price. Service was slow as there was a lack of service staff although I can see that they were trying their best.

Cozy place for weekend brunch served with lovely ice mocha. Friendly servers with variety of menu items to choose from. Recommended the beef burger for burger lover

Service was fine but my sausage and mash had to be returned to be cooked more. I think smaller sausages cooked until brown and slightly sticky are better. Will be back though. Also I think the fancy holders for fries and sauces are a bit cumbersome

Food was average. We orders a British platter to share and the Beef Wellington. The platter had too much pastry.... If restaurant is air-conditioned, it would be much appreciated in Singapore's weather.

The food is still very delicous and worth the visit just for that. The service has also improved so much since we last went a few months back. Sadly our family visitors weren't too impressed with the slow service. But they were much more attentive-improving after their not so great reviews of late

1. Service staff were not attentive and overall service was slow. 2. Poor quality food. The crabcakes we ordered had a strong ammonia taste and smell. The Beef Wellington was dry and overcooked, and it was served cold. 3. Overall bad experience, poor service, food and beverages on the menu are not value for money.

Atmosphere was good. Food was sub-par. Poached eggs on a bed of spinach and toast was disappointing as the eggs were overcooked and not runny at all. There was no sauce so the entire dish was dry. Presentation looked miserable and dish was not quite worth the price.

Very nice place for quality food. Made my first visit after hearing positive reviews from a number of friends. Beef Wellington was a winner, as well as the steak, both cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, by the time of our (8pm) dinner reservation the majority of starters and desserts were finished... So the next visit we will go for lunch! Only downside as a young family is that there are no baby changing facilities.

Went over for lunch! Make an appointment with Quandoo, quick and easy with instant confirmation! Good ambience and location! There is no air-conditioner so some people might find the place rather warm due to our blessed hot and humid weather! Food selection was okay. We ordered the tuna nicoise salad and eggs benedict with a side of fries! Although the food was quite good, the salad was really, really small for the price we paid! Could be the smallest portion of tuna nicoise I have ever had! Okay experience but they could definitely do better!

Decent food, small portions which make the prices a little more on the expensive side. We had the Beef Wellington and Ribeye which were both rather average, nothing to shout about. Attentive service by a bubbly and courteous waitress (whose name I unfortunately have forgotten), wine cost $69 for the bottle but was rather short and tannic. Spent an average of $70 per pax with the bottle of Shiraz. Might visit again for the convenience.

The food and atmosphere we're excellent. Even though the service was a little slow we we're kept informed and apologies were given. It didn't matter anyway as we were enjoying chatting and the background music was lovely. We had expected it to be busy in a public holiday anyway. Will definitely go back to try out more of the menu items that sound delicious.

The service was terrible, they forgot half our order and were extremely rude. Then didn't notice, and also didn't apologise. The food was dreadful!! I ordered a salad, but there was no lettuce. When I asked for some they charged me $5 extra!! My husband ordered the Bacon, avocado and Blue Cheese sandwhich, but there was a piece blue cheese the size of a 5 cent coin inside and if you blinked you would miss the avocado. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!

Food was not fantastic. Prices not worth. Ordered eggs benedict, the least they could have offered was a salad as side. the plate was just served with 2 muffins.

Very nice place. And the manager (who must be the owner) makes sure that eveything works out as it should. The kitchen knows how to cook which is eventually the most important. Definitely a jewel.

Looking for a new place for lunch today, we decided to try this cafe situated at the corner, opposite Katong Plaza. We quite remember its cute name and quirky décor the last time we were in the area, so we just went straight in without thinking much. We spent an hour in there, and noticed a large number of its visitors were expats or tourists. Perhaps it is due to the fact that it also provides accommodation- really pretty, boutique level decorated kinds (http://www.rabbit-carrot-gun.com/sleep-2/) as the photos show. I wouldn't mind staying a night here ;) The whole space is no very big, small and cosy. No air-con, but it is surprisingly breezy for a 1 pm afternoon. Prices are mostly below $20. The portion of their Signature Brunch Dish, Gamekeeper's Shooting Breakfast ($19.50) is the largest among all. More of a lunch portion than for brunch. The flavours are pretty average. Nothing really interesting. Comes with Sausage, Bacon, Mushrooms, Baked Beans, Tomatoes, Choice of Eggs, Sourdough Toast. I am not sure if it deserves the 'Signature' title... On the menu, it says Mushrooms & Spinach On Toast ($15) comes with a pair of soft poached eggs served on sourdough toast, but the egg is overcooked so much the egg's pretty much stuck in the middle of hard-boiled and poached, that we'd rather much prefer it to be hard-boiled if it is not going to be poached. But the major turn-off is the vinegar. There is way too much of it, that the entire dish was extremely sourish. It could have been a very simple and pleasant dish... The Gourmet Beef Burger ($19) had grandest entrance.... (For the complete review and photos, click here: http://mediumrareandothers.blogspot.com/2015/03/rabbit-carrot-gun-katong.html)

it was way too humid and stuffy, probably because we were allocated to a bad seating. did not enjoy our dining experience there at all. i've rather high standards and expectation in food, hence, the food at Rabbit carrot gun came out to be mediocre to below average to me.

Rabbit, Carrot, Gun has an excellent atmosphere and the food is great. Typically English cuisine, with an Asian twist at times. Good wine list and their adjacent pub serves Speights on tap. The owners are omnipresent, cheerful and friendly. Great weekend spot.

Excellent food and great service. The beef wellington is superb. Perfectly cooked, the beef was juicy and the pastry flakey and buttery. The Mango infused gin is fantastic. Highly recommended
