Located behind pioneering Ang Mo Kio mookata outfit Siam Square Mookata, PocoLoco offers premium Italian cuisine at prices that would make downtown Singapore Italian restaurants blush like a sun-ripened tomato. The idea is simple, dispense with the dependence of expensive imported ingredients, European-style full table service, exorbitant salaries for the chefs, and open up a restaurant in a block along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 with an aim to serve heartland locals good food at heartland prices. The results are incredible. PocoLoco offers superb, authentic Italian dishes like Sicilian-style tagliolini with sea urchin, spaghetti al nero de seppia made with the ink of the cuttlefish, and the chef’s special of slow-roasted pork belly with a white wine and honey sauce. Providing an alternative to the glut of zi char restaurants in the area, PocoLoco is affordable Italian that doesn’t skimp on quality.
Very impressive food, delicious of main course soft pork Chop
Great Italian food at a affordable price, all the dishes were well presented but the place is a bit cramped. definitely will be going back again!
For nice and cheap pasta, this is the place to go. Service was excellence too but don't forget to make reservation as it is very pack during dinner time.
Italian fine dining quality food at half the price. Made booking for a group of 8 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Highly recommended place!
The food is close to authentic with special menus available every week. the staff are friendly and helpful. Dishes came out quickly despite 1 main chef cooking most of the main course . Chef was previously from a fine dining Resturant ( Italian - Japanese fusion ) and you could tell by the consistency of the food. Portion are kept small and cost of most dish not more than 15-16 dollars . Look out for starter : calamari , bruschetta , buratta mains: Nero pasta, gambari, granchio dessert: chocolate lava cake
Super good quality food, the flavours were rich! Ordered the foie gras risotto, seafood tomato soup, chicken masala and mushroom soup. Both soups were great (altho quite small portion) and the risotto was fantastic. They tasted better than what I've eaten at fine dining restaurants. The chicken masala was not as great tho, as the chicken was quite tough and tasted bland. Highly recommend, would come back again and prolly try their beef tenderloin!
Quality of food is great, service efficient and what I like best is they automatically bring extra plates, forks and spoons for sharing and he asked at clearing of EVERY COURSE how was the food double thumbs up ! Great value ! ! Only 2 negative points 1. Don't like restaurant that charge for water 2. Hair in bolognaise .. chef should wear hat, cap or even a bandana can look pretty cool
2nd visit and still as satisfied ! Food quality is great and service very efficient, thumbs up to all. If as part of this review we need to pick one area for better improvement, I will chose please IMPROVE on the CALAMARI, otherwise skip this from menu. Keeo up the good work all crew and chef's 😃 Thanks to the owners for bringing little ITALY to AMK heartland !
Nice & cosy restaurant. Food served fast and it reminds me of the restaurants in Italy. A little no-frills but that's what you get paying the price. Quality food- Gem in a neighborhood. Better to make reservation in advance, those people queuing out there had to wait for at least 45min. Will be back!
Nice simple Italian fare with cosy atmosphere. The scallop appetiser was fresh and succulent. Main course risotto with mushroom and crabmeat pasta taste were tasty. The lava chocalate cake was very nicely done with oozing rich chocalate. Overall, a hearty meal.
