Nara Japanese Restaurant

Regular place to go to with my colleagues for nice sashimi and other Japanese izakaya menu. A really nice place and highly recommended.

Food is average, service is alright, like the atmosphere, price a bit steep

A bit noisy towards the end of our dining. Good for casual dinner, many varieties to choose from, pricey though…

The food was good. The staff was polite even though is dinner time. Lastly the ambience was cozy for dining.

The service is pretty alright. The food is decent but in my personal opinion, doesn’t correspond to the fairly high price point.

Came back here after many years. Disappointed with the food and though staff are friendly, it’s obvious the restaurant is understaffed. May give it another try for old times’ sake.

Finally got to lunch at Nara after some postponements. Restaurant was recommended by colleagues and I was totally unaware of its existence even though it has been around for a long time and kids were taking classes across the road at United Square for years. Food was good, portions were OK but could be considered small for big eaters. Restaurant was full during visit at 1pm on a Sunday so reservations are necessary. Service was OK with requests acceded to but not ultra warm.

Omakase sashimi was very good and fresh! Value for money!

Second visit, food quality is consistent, good, fresh and not so salty.

Food quality was better than expected, beef and pork was moist and not dry and there was no gaminess.

overall service was good. juz that our 2 sets of chirashi was quite slow. otherwise a good place for lunch!
