Kublai Khan Mongolian BBQ Restaurant

They should have posted at their website that there was no seafood & sushi for the lunch buffet. I only got to know where they called in the morning to confirm the reservation. Disappointing!

I like the Mongolian grill and variety of ice cream. Location is great! Good for students. Good service from staff. Chili crab is sweet.

The Chilli Crab was BAD. Meat inside looked old and was inedible. May have been freeze burn. The atmosphere was cold. Embarrassed hosting a group of 12.

Good location but the food not up to my expectations,l ate before at previous place.Some of the food tastes like leftover and not so fresh...

Although there was a large tour group on the day we had our dinner at Kublai khan, staff was generous and accommodating. Instead of waiting at the buffet line, they served us the food from the kitchen.

Dont bother going on a weekend. It was such a horrible experience. Where shall i start... 1) Long queue for bbq meat - no mutton too and nobody replaced till the end. 2) Mushroom soup (which was the best thing there btw) kept running out the moment it came out o oven..portion for soup was small so pple kept going back to take more. 3) chilli crab was DISGUSTING. It was old frozen crab...the meat was rubbery n grey in colour. Couldnt even eat. 4) chilli clams were cold 5) Fried rice was grainy 6) ice cream ran out n no fill up 7) Service was slow -to sit us and nobody cleared our table unlike other buffets For the first time in my life, i left a buffet HUNGRY! Not worth the money. My friend had recommended saying that when she went on a weekday, food was good. Even she was disappointed at the quality of food on a weekend. We left and ate KFC after that. Complete waste of money. Dont visit on weekends!

My colleagues and I, Enjoyed our dinner. Nice ambience and staffs. Would come again on another occasion. Also convenient to find the place with Mrt within the vicinity.

Its an average dinning experience for both myself and my daughter. If you have more money to spend, of course you could get something better.

restaurant decoration looks cheap, very noisy with lots of tour group, food so so, no way to find back the good memory when it was at Somerset.

foods not top out, keep asking foods was not out, it also less quantity, no dish of chocken, at end of the day the foods was still not top out

Food not bad. Love it! Love the cheesecake the most! But sadly, there we no more chocolate fountain as we were looking forward to it. :( Staffs were very friendly. 2nd time dining here. Will def come again!

Could have more variety. The Mongolia bbq is the only main draw.. will only go again if there are more variety of good and improvement of sashimi quality

Food was really beyond our satisfactions. Perfect place to celebrate special days with our loved ones. Khublai Khan is still the best for me no matter what. 😍

The standard has dropped drastically since the previous visit about a year ago. Lesser food choices and very poor service. Not sure what happened since as it was previously very good.

The crab was not fresh at all! the salmon sashimi was cut too small and there were still bones! the front staff service was good though. but the food could have been more fresher.

Good is not warm, top up of food is slow especially on a weekends when there are so many people. My friends commented this is their first and last time coming here again

Affordable with decent range of dishes. Nice clean restaurant too.

Overall food is not good. We ordered the grill salmon and chicken for 30min and nothing came where there is no other orders. Sate was on the grill for the longest time till we ask for it. Though only $30+ for adult, the total food quality is not worth the amount paid.

The restaurant staffs are friendly and attentive. Crabs quality can be improved. The soup with puff is good. Would come back again with my family in future.

Nice place chilli crab is very delicious. Dessert can be more but price is as such so lets ask for much. Nice evening view from the high window.

Food was better than expected. Variety and quality is very acceptable for the price. Service could have been better coz we had to clear some of own plates to the washing area. Overall a good place to hang out esp if you have Muslim friends

Place is at one corner, difficult to find, food is cold and not hot enough, like eating cold crab... not crowded.. but good is they got ice cream.

Great place for a company dinnerthat can accommodate 13 people. Free flow of food and drinks. Great location at the city area. Thanks a lot for having us

Horrible experience. Hygiene, service levels, quality of food .... everything is questionable. Worst than a food court... tepanuaki and satay were not ready evenafter one hour of opening the restaurant. Dont waste your money!!

Nice scene of cq from the restaurant. Like the teppanyaki mongolian style. Nice food. Good value. Not too noisy so we are able to have a good conversation and dinner

The variety of food is not what it used to be, taste just satisfactory. Would not recommend to others for lunch. Dont mind paying a bit more if the quality and standard are better than what it is now

Moderate choice of food. Tappanyaki is the best.. Food top up was late and it was just 8pm and most food item was gone.. need to improve on the coordination and top up

Very considerate for the restaurant to have a dedicated prayer room for our Malaysian colleagues. Had a full & fulfilling company dinner there. Halal certified. Worth the price & conveniently located in the central, cheap parking by per entry at Clarke Quay Central after work on a weekday. Will patronise again if there's a chance.

Love the food and service! Sixth visit but never disappointed! Will always come back for more. Large spread of seafood and mongolian food at a very reasonable price!

It's was very disappointing. The only thing nice was the barbecued beef. Everything else that we tried was sub-standard. Where do I even begin? The chilli crab was cold. The sauce tasted like some sad mix of chilli sauce and tomato ketchup. And the size of the crab claws certainly did not make up for the bitter-tasting crab meat. The pastry covered mushroom soup tasted like milk with tiny bits of canned mushrooms thrown in. Really? Soup straight out of a Campbell can would have been a drastic improvement. I could go on. They really should consider hiring a real chef for a change. Nobody should be made to pay money for the pitiful offering there.

Food was average in taste, variety was quite limited. Environment wasn't too pleasant as they will accommodate large tour groups for dinner, which are very noisy and rowdy.

Had lunch on a saturday afternoon , was surprised by lots and lots of tourist coming in the restaurant. Food was limited as there was no seafood. Theres only watermelons and oranges in the dessert fridge. Lining up to take food took forever and when its my turn to pick my food , lots of food already gone and the top up took very long. Quite dissapointed as i had paid for the price for that kind of buffet. Could have it better somewhere else.

The spread was good and central location. Staff were nice and accommodative.The pricing is not too expensive and you get a decent spread for the $$$.

the restaurant was near to the mrt and it looked way much nicer than the previous one in Parkmall.

we have been here a number of time and we don't feel the atmosphere has change. Definitely we will come back again. As understood, menu has to change a bit, at times.

Ambience of the place is nice. The food is nice too. The mogolian bbq is as delicious as before when i ate at dhoby ghaut. Excellent for bonding and familu gatherings.

Presentation of sashimi and sushi can be quite a turn off... when messed, no clean up. Was worried melted ice water may accidentally drip to the sushi plates. Custom stir fry corner and satay was not too bad. Not much variety overall but for the price you paid for is bearable. Desserts were average. Is good that have free flow of soft drinks and some hot beverages.

Me and my wife has been to Kublai Khan Mongolian BBQ Restaurant many time and we still like it and will come again definitely. The atmosphere, the food, the staffs, the location will make you come again.

Price was 34.6$. Pos: Food was good. Ambient was excellent. Service was good. Loved the soup and Crab. Neg: Not much food variety. Dessert section need serious improvement.

Great value and great atmosphere. However the spread of food is not much and seafood served are not fresh. But the other food is delicious

The place were overcrowded with tour agencies bring tourist groups to dine at the place. Lunch menu do not have seafood and not much choices.

Puff pastry soup was really good! Food spread was not bad but limited desserts spread in the fridge. It was also not crowded on for a Saturday evening.

Variety of food available was more than I would have expected with the price charged. Really enjoyed the satay and chili crab. Only major downside was that we had to wait almost 30 min for one slice of teppanyaki beef to be served when the restaurant was barely even half filled.
