Must order the momotaro tomato and great sake selection! Check out their revamped menu and promotions as well (enquirer in store). Can be a tad noisy...
The rice and noodle dishes were decent - the favourite was the garlic fried rice. Yakitori range is bit limited and could do with more seasoning.
Excellent. Very attentive staff and great sake choice. Food choice a little limited but what was on offer was very good and very well received.
it was only ok.. the photos of the food look better than the food itself... some dishes were unique and flavorful. others looked/tasted average and even sloppy. service was also average, especially consider there were only 2 other tables with us that night.
It was difficult getting service. Food is overall good but past visits yielded no grilled squid (no reason). Deep-fried squid tentacles was dry and tough.
Good food and fantastic service. This place has a wide selection of very unique sake. Sake selection changes with the season. Fun place for special occasion.
Quiet setting, simple menu. However, the portions were rather small. Service was great, as the staff were very attentive. The curry is recommended, and so is the gyoza.
Food is great but portion is small. Clean, nice ambience and service is great. A little pricey in view of the food portion being served.
Ramen are exceptional as well as the sashimi. Very good value for money (13++/set). Nice for working day lunch but also for dinners with friends The service is low-average for this price..
Great food, polite and knowledgeable staff. They took really good care of my guest and I, even recommend Sake to pair with our meal. Will return in the future.
The ambience was great. Udon dish is worth trying. However, overall it is quite expensive and service may be quite slow. Good to go in a group.
Authentic Izakaya joint housed in the edge of Little India. Interior design was excellent. Staffs were very friendly and service was efficient.
good service , fresh ingredients delicious spread of dishes , excellent sakes to go along with , makes a good night celebration with friends ! Thank You for the lovely 1st day of the New Year 2017 !!
Love the traditional Japanese posters on the walls, as well as the lamps made from sake bottles. Great ambience with well recommended sake. Good variety of food too. Parking is convenient.
Thoughtful service and good food makes a great restaurant. 😀
The FOUR x FOUR lunch set menu was misleading. We were under the impression that it's 4 courses each, but you get to choose only 1 course out of the sections.
Great experience... nice place to chill & eat. Sake is good & reasonable. Food is good too.. their services was awesome. Sure go back again
Nice jap decor restaurant with delicious yakitori and ramen. Would be perfect if they extend their donburi and ramen selection as it is currently limited to 3-4 choices.
Great service and yummy yakitori especially the chicken wings. Prior to date, the staff called me to ask if I would like to pre order chicken liver which I had feedback in previous visit's review. Thumbs up.
Good food and ambience. Prices are decent and reasonable. While the eatery is a bit small, it's perfect for a quiet Friday dinner for 2 or a small group of friends.
Good service, friendly staff!! Food is not too bad. Will be good if can add more selection. Maybe daily special etc. Sake selection if not too bad.
Great food! Second visit there and the quality of all the dishes - kimchi ramen, beef carpadocia, yakitori were very good! Like the modern Japanesr design. Quite a small place though.
Good value set lunch, though meat portion is a little small compared to the rice. Great service, keep topping up tea without prompting. Greetings are a bit too loud, each time a customer comes into the restaurant, our conversation is interrupted.
good quality food and good service! we will be back.
Went back to the restaurant again for my favourite HIYASHI CHUKA RAMEN ($12.80) cold ramen x crabmeat x egg x salmon roe x shredded chicken x homemade sauce. Its just so nice! However, didn't know that they don't serve YAKIMONO for lunch, was a pity that I couldn't order.
There were some hits and misses... Nice ambience and decoration (sake lights and japanese posters. Server's premium sake recommendation was good and sake cups were really pretty. We enjoyed the baked potato very much. The chef was heavy handed with salt which was later moderated after our feedback. Only the yakimono was changed but the ika we had to still finish it though it was salty. The yakimono offering was rather limited; no chicken liver etc. We were also a bit surprised that the complimentary appetizers and ebi were quite a small portion. Overall a nice place to dine but there are many other well established izakayas in Singapore. For sustainability, restaurant needs to come up with more interesting promotions or menu.
Good food and fun little place! Swordfish skewer is a must to try and will go back just for that! Also pleased that they had fantastic dark beer on tap.
Good service and good ambience. It is not a noisy environment. Food is nice with satisfactory serving. They change plates and refill water when required.
Good Food, good service. Wide selection of sake, Highly recommended for a place to chill out with friends after a long day hard work. 😄
The food is good and fresh. The wait staff are very friendly and helpful. The sake selections are good. It's a place I would return for another meal.
excellent food. great service. will recommend friends to try their lunch set. will try out their dinner food soon. more variety of food will be better.
My first weekday dinner there did not disappoint. Service is better obviously as compared to busier periods. Food is of consistent quality. Nice weekday distraction
Yakitori can be better as most items are salty but the mains such as ramen is awesome ! Love the ambience though, it's cosy and tastefully done.
Service is good with attentive and thoughtful staff. Food is good too with nice variety. Only bugbear is the too al dente ramen in the cold ramen salad.
salad is nice but the beef wrap with leek was too overwhelming ramen was good as the noodle wont turn soggy thanks alot for the nice food
The food and service was impeccable. Although the yakitori took a while to arrive, but they were prepared well, thus we enjoyed the meal very much. We also ordered the sake which was excellent. All in all, we felt it was worth it. We plan to come back again.
First time visit. The place serves Good quality Japanese food, and is run by locals. They have a sushi place - sushi Jin - nest doors and they serve good food as well.
The food is very fresh, well cooked, appearance is nicely done. Very appetising and has ots own JINzakaya's special taste that cannot be found in other Japanese restaurants. Good place to hangout actually.
Food is good, and prices are decent, but noise levels are too high once the place fills up because floor and walls are noise reflective.
Was there the first time. Nothing to shout about the food Service staff needs to Improve and be more attentive. Service was slow and i wished they had unagi!
This is my fourth visit, wonderful food & good service.
High-quality, well-priced food with attentive and sincere service that makes for a repeat visit! :) The dishes were sizable and I enjoyed the Jin Tori Ramen with its creamy broth and robust chicken flavour. The onsen egg added a special touch.
Alot of items we ordered were not available - quite disappointed given that the location was not the best too. Service was good for a small restaurant but nothing really outstanding that will entice me back. Tori tama is probably still the best yakitori place in Singapore.
Food was delicious. Location is very convenient. Servicr was great!
Kids enjoyed the wagyu rolls and the gyoza. The dons were nice too. Note that yakitori not available at lunch. Great service, will visit again.
The type of sake I wanted to order sold out(they should know what sake type is popular with clients), the timing of the food coming out of the kitchen patchy(seems they have issues timing the cooking the kushiyaki skewers). Still needs refining against established Izakayas in town.
Lively atmosphere with a good mix of local and expatriate clients. Service staff were friendly and attentive, selection of food and drinks was adequate and reasonably priced.
The wait staff is very attentive. When my sake glass is near empty, they would top it up. The food selection is quite limited, but we managed to order an out of menu item. Yums.
foie gras & amberjack sashimi are highly recommended ! .
The grilled food are at pretty reasonable price, services staffs are attentive and friendly plus the sake I had that night was very good. Grilled food still have room for improvement especially the "grilled" taste and fragrant.
