After six happy years in Singapore, but completely failing to find great, nutritious food from Korea, the team behind Hansang Korean Charcoal Barbecue set about to establish the home of great Korean food in Holland Village. Lorong Mambong has plenty of great places where you can find a bite of something that takes your fancy, but this Korean barbecue joint in the Village is one of the best. This was followed by the sister restaurant that opened two years later over at Novena Square.
Taken literally, Hansang means a table full of food all the time, and a more fitting name couldn’t be chosen for this excellent tribute to the food of Korea on Lorong Mambong in Holland Village. The team endeavour to serve the best in Korean food with a welcoming – even celebratory – atmosphere for friends and families alike. The restaurant centres around a traditional charcoal grill and offers excellent value set menus as well as a la carte options, coupled with a range of Korean drinks and puddings. There are few places that take such pride in bringing local food the the famously cosmopolitan Singapore, but Hansang Korean Charcoal Barbecue is undoubtedly one of them.
