The fantastic DaeJon House is where those in Singapore searching for original Korean cuisine will find their search come to an end. And that’s because the food here on Havelock Road is damn good. In fact, it might be the best you’ll find around Outram and Robertson Quay, thanks in no small part to the DaeJon special Korean cham pong – beef bone noodle soup made with beef, seafood, and vegetables. This here restaurant is the only place in Singapore that you’ll find such a soup, and along with plenty of other solid Korean options on the menu it’s no wonder DaeJon House is popular. We suggest you reserve for this one.
Place is small and retro interior with lots of oldies posters and gadgets. Food was not bad. Had budae jjigae and the taste was decent. Free boiled eggs were place on the tables for customers.
nice foods especially beef spicy soup was nice (jjampong). service was okay. when you eat army soup or spicy soup plz wear apron to protect your shirt.
Had Buddae Jiggae, the large portion. It was good. Kimchi was served on the side. The service was polite and friendly. A nice experience in general.
Authentic Korean food & reasonably priced. Staffs are service orientated too. Great set up & nice ambience. Suitable for friends or family gatherings! Will be back & highly recommended!
Daejon House serves rich and flavourful dishes to satisfy your Korean tastebuds. Their Groupon deal for a large sized Beef Budae Jjigae [$15] was truly a steal (originally worth $29.90). The tasty stew could comfortably be shared among 2 to 3 hungry eaters. Apart from the good food, their service is also great. However, the restaurant may be a little cramped as I had to stand for them to set up the stew and burner. Also, the place can get really packed which forces them into turning down walk-in customers. Do make a reservation instead through Quandoo to avoid disappointment. Another note is not to ring them up as they seldom answer calls from my experience. Overall, I would come back again for the food especially so if there are more great Groupon deals available in the future.
great food and great service It is my second time to Daejon House and the food there is still as good as before. will definitely go back again soon
We ordered the big army stew set with pancake and Mandu. The portion is enough for three of us. The food is yummy and price is reasonable. The owner provided very good services too!
Food was good, environment is cosy ,service staff was attentive and prompt in serving food. Overall had a enjoyable meal and would consider dropping by again to try the other dishes in the menu
It was my first time had such a authentic Korea Dajoen pot at dajoen house. It was quite a good experince for me as well as my 3 other friends went with me.
Nice place but Army stew was a tad too spicy. Not sure if will be back again. Location is convenient too. Will suggest to cut back on the chilli to suit local taste better.
