Restaurant with nice scenery at affordable price. Can have both steamboat and mookata at additional add on. Wide range of ingredients for the steamboat: seafood (clams, mussels, crab, prawns). There's also cooked food too like fried rice, curry, rojak... definitely worth the price...
Food is ok, not many varieties. But for the price, still acceptable. It would be great if there are free flow of drinks for customers.
We were at the restaurant for reunion dinner, in the third seating, which was fairly empty. The crew did not even top up the cooked food for the third seating guests, so basically we were having the leftovers from previous seating. Food is good though, prices is reasonable.
We had a great time at Charcoal Thai. Their Tom Yum soup base and fish fillet are a must must try. Would have rated it 5 stars if they were to accept Nets/CC payments.
Limited choice of food and food quality could be improved further. Restaurant was severely short of staff and they were very unttentuce. The good point - aircon was cold.
Food, environment and price was great! You can clearly see the Universal studios lightings at night and better yet, get treated to a splash of fireworks when dining at charcoal thai, coming from the Sentosa Island itself. Overall great!
Food was so so and Not very clean. Service was slow and even though reservation made, we were made to wait for at least 15minutes.
Location was not very ideal. You have to walk past Daiso and one restaurant. The service was great. Choices of food quite limited. But overall, it is worth its price.
Wasn't as good as they were before. Good variety very limited. Meat n fish is always not thawed properly before dishing out to put at the counter for u to take. U will see chunks of meat/fish sticked together with icing all around it.
My reservation never show in their record but plenty of seat as we went in the afternoon. Person in charge chased us within an hour instead of the end of 2 hours section but we are lucky to prove the photo before we started with timing to them. Overall satisfied with the food with the price we paid.
The restaurant has a good view of watching the cable cars and the sunset as the background! I tried the mookata set from groupon, it was good but it will be better if it is a buffet too. I will go back again to try the steamboat buffet!
Beef was stale. Other meats were also not fresh. Soup was diluted. Customer service was good though, at least they apologized. But this was the worst meal I had in a few years so I can't bring myself to that place anymore.
The restaurant is furnished to the minimal. Floor was not clean. Seats/chair arrangement was quite inconvenient for us (we sat in the corner) as tables were very near to each other. My wife needed to move the chair everytime we asked for adding soup. Food is so-so. Of course with such prices, we can't ask for higher quality. However, the vegetables including mushroom and corns are fresh, we love it. Beefs are of quite a thick cut, so pretty chewy :( Had problem eating Mookata as meats are marinaded with cumin/curry and we do not like it. It is better if they are just marinaded in a normal way. Fishes are very frozen and hard, we waited for quite a long time for it to defrost. We love the belacan chili, by the way.
Made a reservation at 7.45pm, called to confirm if my reservation has been confirmed for 10pax. The recept told me that i would have to wait even when i made reservation. But i will be given priority and was encourage to come down early so as to get the table. So i went down by 7.10pm and was told that i would have to wait very long as they only have 1 long table to fit in everyone. And that table was occupied. Unless we split into 2 group. To me it is stupid. I mAy as well find another restaurant that can fit us all. Whats the point of having gathering when we have to be splited?! my suggestion to the restaurant is to inform customer in advance that they have limiTation to fit in 10 pax. N not let customer came in disappointed.
Price abit too pricy for weekend lunch. Ingrediants not that fresh. No promotional price. Service a little poor no one to clear plates as and when. They will only clear when asked to do so.
Food was not bad, not bad at all. What you see is what you get. Easy to make reservations but not much of a crowd to begin with.
Good service, staffs are friendly. Without long waiting of foods.
Food is decent. Price is reasonable. A place for big group gathering. However, there is still room for improvement on service and reservations. We made a booking yet our table is not ready upon arrival.
food quality was terrible and hard but what to do it's cheap?
The food and service is good. Will visit the restaurant again.
