The set menu is of well designed combination. We added on with a smoked salmon salad which is also very rich and tasty. Highly recommend the apple tart with vanila icecream.
Good ambience but disappointed they didn't have their seafood special. Would have love to try their specials. Service was good. Food was excellent but on the pricey side.
Service was pretty slow, water wasn't filled up until it was empty (warm water). Food time was pretty quick. Good food, well priced. Restaurant was a bit warm.
Good and attentive service, the food was good - I had the onion soup to start with followed by the beef cheek which was tender and flavourful. The Apple tart as dessert was excellent - the pastry was done just right.
Service was great, and the food was delicious. The ambiance was very authentic too, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I'll be back very soon certainly.
I loved the food. Great value ... $34++ for 3 course lunch. I believe Bistro Du Vin does the best duck confit in town. Yummy ... 6 stars!
been coming here for years. always a dependable place for simple cooking done well. lunch sets are extremely good value, and I see the choice of mains has also expanded to include almost everything from their ala care menu.
Food was good generally and was served quickly. The pork shoulder was really good! Service was ok, prompt but not friendly but not rude either.
It's not my first time there. The food were still very delicious, great service and good ambience. It was a lovely evening. We will return again soon.
The service was efficient and food serve was hot and delicious. The price is also quite cheap and worth. Returning customer who will sure to come back for more.
I went there with friends and it was my 2nd visit. Beef Cheek and Lamb Shank were superb!! I will definitely visit again! Thumbs up!
Enjoyed the free flow of bread. The medium rare steak was cooked just right and went well with the bernaise sauce! The pork was a hit too.
The ambbience ia nice for a smakl group gathering. Food was good, from starters all the way to dessert. The staff were quite attentive and nice.
I had the lamb shank and it was really good. The meat was tender. Had souffle for the dessert and it was worth the wait.
Haven't been for a while and I can't understand why! Great service, awesome food/wine, friendly atmosphere and environment - cant wait for my next visit!
Seamless experience from booking to dining to payment. Special thanks to the young male bistro du vin waiter (we saw that he could toss the empty glass water bottles like a bartender!) who served us for being very prompt, attentive and customer-friendly in allowing us to takeaway one of the desserts as we were too full to stomach it.
Location of the bistro is nestled in the quiet part of the busy Orchard area, which is very nice. Ambience is very welcoming and relaxing. Food size is generous but a bit letdown on the presentation. Nonetheless, food tastes yummy. Fois gras raviolli simply melts in your mouth. Beef brisket very tender. Duck confit though tastes like the chicken they serve in Jollibee (I like it anyway). Mashed potato on both mains are super tasty and just melts in the mouth as well. Dessert is nice but too creamy (at least for me and hubby). Price is value for money. Overall, will recommend Bistro Du Vin to friends. We might also come back to taste other foods on the menu.
Quality food and great taste! It is advisable to make reservation in advance. Very cosy restaurant. We ordered beef cheek and duck confit. Beef cheek was really tender. However, personally I feel the duck confit was a little oily. Just personal preference.
Good food and nice atmosphere even though it can be quite noisy. Escargot and foie gras were nicely done and the steak was done accordingly to what we asked for, which is rare in Hong Kong.
We went to Bistro du Vin for lunch. Every single dish we ordered from the lunch menu was absolutely delicious. Value for money too! Only downside is that the service is not great, certainly did not feel like fine dining.
Cosy ambience, Could have played more neo classical music rather than American pop and Jazz. Food is good - simple, flavourful, wholesome though portion can be a little smaller. Chef is pretty generous. Service is mediocre. Made up of mostly part timers students if I observed correctly, thus service was lukewarm and need some 'push'.
Nice food, nice environment. Highly recommend their lamb shank, creme brulee, and souffle. Price is a bit expensive. We definitely will come back next time.
We were there for lunch. The food was superb with large portions to boot, making it worth every cent. We had the french onion soup(5*), foie gras ravioli(5*), cod fish with ratatouille(4*), red drum(5*) and pork collar(5*). The desserts were all good too. Definitely recommend it for lunch.
Love their coq Au vin and the complimentary warm baguette is simple and delicious
Nice and delicious! The place is very cosy and quiet too. Great for couples! The price might be a bit steep but would go again if I have the budget
Fantastic food quality and portion, Definitely worth the price. However service wise could be better. Service staff seems aloof and tired. Do visit them if you like french food.
My 2nd time here in 2 weeks and have enjoyed it both times. Highly recommend the French Onion Soup, Pan seared scallops, foie gras, stuffed trotter with chicken mousse, grilled iberico pork collar and the grand marnier souffle. Service staff were also friendly and attentive. Overall experience was very good. Spent about $75 per head without alcohol.
Well cooked French fare. Would be great to have more variety of wine by glass
Disappointing experience, especially as it was much better on previous visits. Perhaps regular chef was on holidays? Pate, terrine and rillette very good but mains below standard. Duck dry, lamb shank bland, pork tough and steak ordered as medium was served rare. Even fries were over cooked and tasted burnt. Hopefull just an off night as several other visits have been lovely.
Good as always - I have not been disappointed by Bistro du Vin so far in the many times I've been there. Look forward to the next time.
food is very good ,service is bite slow.my family enjoy the set lunch so much and they even provide set lunch on public holidays ,which is value for money.
Value for money set meals even on weekends. Good selection of courses, The braised beef bourguignon was tough. The duck confit was a tad too salty.
A classic French bistro that serves up quite possibly the best charcuterie and French onion soup in Singapore. The foie grah terrine is amazing and the pan seared foie grah is heart stopping (in a good way and bad). Would totally recommend this place for anyone who's longing for that authentic French Flavour and not the questionably localised French food that we usually get.
my group of 3 had the set lunch and it was really good value. the food was superb n the salmon trout with peas was fabulous. the foi gras ravioli was fantastic n u can mopped up the sauce with the bread given.
Good food and ambience - only that the christmas ornament reeking of a rancid floral smell. The servers were attentive to us and allow a seamless transition between each course. Fantastic job on the server. Nonetheless, the tender, robust flavour and flagrance are still the catch for the Bistro. Definitely will go for the rustic cuisine again.
Great food in a casual but authentic French setting. One of the best onion soups around. The duck confit and the baked apple tart are not to be missed.
Prompt and efficient service. Had the set lunch which was good value for money. Recommend the foie gras ravioli which had very thin wrap and generous fillings.
Great ambiance and service is quite quick. The pan-seared foi gras and foie gras ravioli are delicious! Good value for set lunches. Deserts are nice too especially the apple crumble and creme brulee.
Good food with nice ambience. A good choice for dinner
Great service, gorgeous food and convenient location :) Like the deco a lot
Best French food in Singapore. The veal for two was amazing.
Service was friendly and excellent. Food was top notch. We were here for Christmas and there was even a Xmas carol choir! The children couldn't get enough of the bread! We will definitely be back.
Convenient location; just a few minutes walk from Orchard MRT. Cosy ambiance! Love the french onion soup, Joue de Bœuf Braisée and Le Fondant au chocolat Varlhona.
Great food. Great service too. Service staff were friendly and personable. Make sure you order the duck confit and the steak with fries. For starters get the scallops in seaweed butter. Perfectly seared.
Great homely food. Casual yet cosy at the same time. The set lunches are great value at $35! Will come back to try their dinners
This is my 3rd visit to Bistro Du Vin... i love the cosy ambience and the food never fails to give me a pleasant surprise :)
Great food, ambience and service. This is my 5th time and I've never been disappointed. the duck confit and mash is just amazing. The bread is also my favorite - soft and crispy. Will definitely be back again!
Great service, reasonably priced lunch set! Where else can you get a wide variety of choices, well executed dishes! Makes dieting utterly impossible! Go down toBistro Du Vin now for an authentic French meal!
This is my second visit and the food is still as good as I remember. However, the wait staff at the restaurant is not the friendliest
Great food and ambience. Highly recommended! Will go again. Food extremely well cooked. Price is affordable. Staffs are courteous and timely. Cosy place with great wine selection.
