Cosy by the river bar with good tapas spread..service staff limited making order slow
The pizza was fantastic, with a crispy crust, fresh toppings, and a delicious sauce. The restaurant had a cozy and comfortable atmosphere, and the service was friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great pizza in a casual setting.
1 of 2 staff cannot understand English thus was uncommunicative. the other had to run around all tables to cover and speak to guests and thus service was greatly compromised. more than half of the wine list (other than Cava) were not available and cocktail was also sent to wrong table despite being earlier in the evening with only 3 tables occupied. Food was also merely passable. Having been to 3 branches of Bar.Celona before and always have had great experience, this was really disappointing to say the least.
Good place. Will revisit definitely. Staff are friendly and warm too.
Reasonably priced cava and drinks. Food was okay but will return.
Awesome view of the river with great collection of Cava . The food is also pretty good 😊
went on a Tues evening, they had great deals for happy hours, oysters and free truffle fries with a bottle of cava!
Nice vibe, nice place to chill after work for drinks and a bite. $8.50 Cavas were good. Only wish there was outdoor seating too.
Great tapas and drinks! Dozen oysters at $28 on Mon and Tues are worth it!
This is the latest outpost of Bar•Celona and boy is the location the best by far. The views are beautiful where you get a panoramic view of the Civic District with the stunning colonial architecture, and also pocket glimpses of the Marina Bay area. Service is generally terrific, though one of the guys could definitely use more training and just be a little friendlier. Drinks are also well priced and they do run deals throughout the week. The big issue here is the food. The portions are just straight up pathetic. I wasn’t expecting a huge portion considering it’s tapas style dining, but the size of their dishes are not even appetizer sized and instead more like snacks. The tempura octopus leg was the tiniest octopus leg I’ve ever seen and I’ve eaten A LOT of octopus. The beef cheeks were also just some anemic slivers served on a bed (more like cot) of mash. Further to that, the taste was also borderline below average. Both dishes were extremely bland and was begging for seasoning, and the beef cheeks was stringy and not at all tender. All in all, come for the drinks and views, but I’d encourage you to eat before or after when you come here.
